VR isn't about the graphics. There's a zombie shooting game on VR2 called After the Fall. It's basically a rip-off of left for dead but in VR, with graphics that are something similar to a ps3-era remaster. When playing the game, the graphics are never a hinderance, but the gameplay and gunplay is leaps and bounds beyond any top flight AAA graphics-fest available today.
GTA 6 is going to be about the graphics, like RDR2. You aren't going to want to play GTA 6 at the lowest setting beamed right into your eyes.

Will GTA6 have a VR mode?

It seems like the next logical step is GTA in PSVR2. If only Sony weren't such useless cucks.
No. That's a waste of resources with little investment, especially for a technologically advanced game like GTA VI would be. I know they ported LA Noire to VR, but that can be chalked down to experimentation and milking existing franchises without creating anything new.

Edit: not a PORT, technically reworked for VR. My mistake.

He's saying that with how advanced the graphics are, VR would heavily diminish said graphics and performance. Why do you want VR for GTA VI anyway?
VR2 looks damned impressive graphically and the sacrifice wouldn't be noticed as much as the improvement in gameplay would.

I want VR in everything, it is the reset button we need, whether or not VR is up your alley.

It's been like 3 years and they still haven't managed to get San Andreas VR out
It may have been quietly cancelled because of Meta's decline or R*/T2 moving on to other projects. If so, it's for the best. GTA: San Andreas has been milked for nostalgia to no end since V's launch. That project is just a gimmick at best.

Also, I remember that reveal video. I almost called it "trailer." Is it me or did Zuckerberg look so unnatural then?

Edit: he's using the Metaverse! I just realized that. Even so, just look at him in general. He has an uncanny look to him that appear alien.

If there ever was to be a VR game with a big budget it would be GTA. That being said the success of the game would depend on the affordability of the headset, public interest and quality of the product.

If they came out with a VR version of GTA SA it would sell well if Rockstar cared but they don't. Rockstar couldn't be bothered to develop GTA The Definitive Edition let alone a VR. Any GTA VR game would be a legacy title because that is what the technology can handle.

So if they ever decide to develop a VR version of GTA VI it would take 30 years or more for the technology to be advanced enough to handle it and that's if the gaming industry decides to invest the time and money to reach that point.

Even a VR mode would be sweet. I expected GTA V to have a GTA V(R) remake/remaster just to milk it one last time

Which GTA had the best loading screen sequence? I'd say San Andreas because that introduced music and GTA IV because of its artwork.
Vice City and San Andreas are both great loading screens

Talk about a missed opportunity
Can't lie, I thought that the first person mode of 8th gen GTA 5 was for VR at first because of how hyped the Oculus Rift was back then. I thought it was meant to get the game ready for VR once all the real headsets launched.

If Rockstar wanted to, they could have done a VR spinoff of GTA, Red Dead, Bully, even Rockstar Table Tennis by now if they actually cared at all.

It’s way too early to state this, but since I’ve bought a Valve Steam Deck, I like to imagine a future where I’ll be able to pirate download a ROM to play GTA VI if given a chance.

If anything, it would be like Cyberpunk 2077, but with far more manpower than necessary.

Why not just buy it on a sale?

I doubt that a Steam Deck would be able to handle VI, even with compromises.

Why the fuck is anyone talking about GTA and VR is beyond me.
That was one of the dumbest announcements of all time. Could you imagine all the pain in the ass work to get that even somewhat decent?

What if R* gives a release day for GTA VI and a couple days before, they DELAY it? I say this because I imagine people would take off from work just to play.

Heya Kiwi frens…
Haven’t played GTA Online in a good six months or something. Finally got my yacht, so didn’t really feel like grinding anymore. Figured I had it made.

But how’s the latest expansion? I keep seeing ads for it on YouTube. Worth checking out?

(One of my favorite things was stealing expensive cars, re painting them and delivering them. The car warehouse expansion? So I’m kinda tempted.)
