. There was a game, I think it was called Mystery Box No.5 or something, where there was one bike, and the objective was to stop on top of it for as long as possible, and other players would ram you with cars or attack you with hatchets. That was the funniest shit I've ever played
I don't believe it. Last time I saw it as part of the community series was maybe a year ago or longer, and just this week they brought it back. It was Mystery Box No.1

GTA V is already showing its age from the first two GTA VI trailers alone. Then, I remember how much R* had to push the seventh generation of consoles to their limits to get GTA V running optimally on 12-15 year old hardware. The closest game I can think of that achieved that level of scale back then would have to be Skyrim. It's truly a technical marvel unlike anything we've seen at that time.

You mean in terms of graphics? Who cares.

nigga why you be like that? GTA5 started showing it's age after RDR2 was released but that was literally the point, RDR2 was supposed to be a upgwade to RAGE and GTA6 will be the upgwade to RDR2's tech but saying GTA5's oldass kept it's age for 15 years is silly.
it "kept it's age" because rockstar didn't bother releasing any other game.

not just that, physics and tech overall, see above.

i can resume the big techtalk with one video.
especially on how the physics handle ragdolls and the clothing system but you can say they were planning on that since renderware era i guess.
also you can predict most of these things will be niche in itself for GTA6 in the same way baseline GTA5 cars have detailed damage deformation which online only cars do not, especially if they are a "upgraded" version of said car like banshee vs benny's banshee or banshee GTS, the first one can be turned into fucking scrap by hitting places at high speeds, the other two will hardly dent if you try the same things.

i know because i failed a prison break-plane by falling with a baller engine first and it exploded whereas i tired that in the same place with a sultan RS and it didn't explode no matter how i hit the ground, the car at best flipped instead of exploding instantly

Not even graphics, the scale of the world. GTA V's map is around 49 square miles of landmass. Now, take into consideration the three switchable protagonists at will when you unlock them for free roam. I believe character switching takes a few seconds. The draw distance from the PS3/360 isn't too bad in hindsight; from what I remember, you can see the Los Santos skyline across the map from Sandy Shores.

I'm speaking more of comparing the object and ped density from the trailers alone. That beach scene was full of NPCs each doing their activity. The Vice City hotel scene had something similar as well. Walking animations looked generic, but I'll let that slide for now. Now when I look at GTA V, everything feels emptier.

I don't even have the energy to bitch about the woke shit. I'm just expecting the worst from VI at this point, zero excitement.

Two things though:
-nu-R* bringing back Phil should be considered as VI being non-canon. The only two characters that canonically exist both in 3D and HD universes are Lazlow and Fernando Martinez, with Lazlow's in-game appearance in V being justified as it's Lazlow, he was one of the greats since III. Lazlow appeared in every major GTA game, with Fernando being a close second. Bringing back a minor character that only appeared in four 3D era games for some lazy fan service only shows how much nu-R* cares about the series, and even if it's "Phil-but-not-really-Phil" then it's still turbo gay. It's like they want to turn Phil into Far Cry's Hurk, but like two decades after the fact. Fuck, that.

-I am doubtful, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if the trailer was in fact rendered on a PS5 in-game with a cinematic camera. RAGE is a pretty impressive engine given what it can deliver and how much computing power it needs. Just look at Red Dead Redemption 2, that game has a fucking 1060 as the recommended GPU. A 1060 is ancient, and at this point it's pushing a decade of age. In comparison, PS5's GPU is comparable to an RTX 3070, and an RTX 3070 is more than twice as powerful as the 1060. The 3090 is ~1.5x of 3070's performance, 3090 = 4070Ti = 5070. And if that was 4K upscaling, then I can expect the PC version to run really well on something like a 3090 in 1440p at native res, and look as good as it did on the trailer. Assuming that during their talent exodus R* didn't lose their ability to optimize RAGE as well, and that it won't be full of jeetcode, but time will tell.

you could have just said you don't wish to talk about this and move on.
instead you decide to act like a complete niggerfagot 2025 joindate.

no offense but it sounds like some fucking commie gobbledegook

open world design peaked with saints row 2. now its only how much pixels or other retarded shit they can cram into the games.
It's rumored by putting together some map leaks that this game is going to have about 4-5 cities, for reference V only had one city and the rest of the island was basically wilderness and highways, so they are going for a homerun in that aspect.
Anyways I don't care about this and I didn't even play V.

rumorniggers at this point should be considered marketers, it's always about fucking hype shit instead of trying to be critical at something or full blown schizoid ramblings, not to mention when shit is "leaked on purpose".

https://www.rockstargames.com/VI The website talks some about the locations in the game. The ones they're showing are
Urban (Vice City)
Suburban (Keys)
Suburban - Rural (Grassrivers)
Urban - Industrial (Port Gellhorn)
Rural - Industrial (Ambrosia)
Wilderness (Mount Kalga)

Assuming there's at least some separation between some of these areas then I could see there being a good amount of stuff to do in places that aren't Vice City.

My predictions on VI is that it's not going to sell enough, not because of any boycott, but because Sony and Xbox are declining with their shit consoles and there wont be enough of a playerbase to cover the investments on the game.
Keep in mind that they are shilling the PS5 "Pro", which came out last year, to play this game.
They missed the covid bubble and if they shipped for the base PS5 they would have had better prospects.

Insomniac, who had the best selling game on PS4 and then PS5, still had to do layoffs.
Rockstar will survive by whaling the fuck out of people with microtransactions on the online multiplayer mode, which will last forever.
(Sony is surviving by whaling the fuck out of paypiggies, making them buy the PS5 again because it's slightly upgraded and "Pro" plus a $250 tax, curious.)

It's been over 10 years since V, so a new playerbase of zoomers will interact with the new game, and they are not going to get it.
They will be bored with storyshit and if the main quest is more ultralinear going to point A to point B while an npc tells you the storyshit, it's going to get tedious.
