i don't understand why did you had to write that fucking essay when you could just point to vehicle import/export and the script changes that happened once that update went live where cars will swerve on your car on purpose.
there's also the change in there you can shoot a officer in a helicopter and he will fall only to quickly flip and fall on his feet taking zero fall damage.
Because those are businesses I tried to do for passive income. Eventually, I just decided fuck it and quit. Of course, I did move on to Red Dead Online. There's a similar grind in that game, although I managed to make something of myself from that gameplay loop. Anyway, GTA Online was not even that engaging beyond a novelty to me even during the 360 days.

Nah, not happening. GTAV was going to have expansions until GTA Online started making lots of money, then they scrapped it. Not worth the investment for so little return. It probably also didn't help that the two GTAIV expansions never did as well as they should have.
Gta Iv felt incomplete without eflc. Gta V today still feels unfinished. Gtaos writing is even worse then V (Lester bags a hot Asian what shjt writing)

Two things though:
-nu-R* bringing back Phil should be considered as VI being non-canon.
That reminds me. Remember in GTA IV where that homeless tramp, Jerry, ended up finding the $2 million diamonds after The Ballad of Gay Tony? A news report said that he would take his new found wealth to Vice City to open a gun shop and liquor store. What if the Phil we saw from the second trailer turns out to be a character of Jerry's making? When I say character, I mean like a mascot of sorts for his gun shop. I would hope that we'd see Jerry back in GTA VI.

Anyone here have any experience with getting GTA IV to run smoothly on a modern machine? I'm running Fusion fix with dxvk and I'm experiencing micro-stutters and substantial fps drops when zooming down the highway, with drops all the way down to 30 fps.

What are your specs? GTAIV is notoriously bad with performance, but 30fps with dxvk doesn't sound right.

Ryzen 5 3600X, RTX 3070 (4gb vram), 16 gigs of RAM and I'm running the thing off of an SSD

A toaster by all means, but I get better performance in V than I do in IV...

You've got a better PC than this guy and he seems to be able to hit 60+ no problems. Have you tried limiting fps to 60?

well now you run into the problem of gta 4 tying physics and animations to the framerate and how that'll start really fucking shit up during certain parts of the game because it wasnt meant to be played at over 30 fps

480p so Null doesn't hunt me down

The whole thing just feels off

edit: playing around with the view distance / detail sliders yielded much better results.

Eh, it could just be him in an alternate universe. He has his arm unlike in GTA III.

Sadly, no. I gave up when I got the same thing, where I got less performance with DXVK for some reason.

FusionFix fixes that if you're on 1.0.8.0 and earlier, and the Complete Edition has it fixed too. The only version that doesn't have it fixed now is the Xbox One/Series release.

What excites me is how much Rockstar nailed South Florida. It’s a Florida man/woman simulator and can’t wait to feed a bunch of troons to some gators.
IF those kind of NPCs are even in the game. If not, well, you got a diverse cast to use for gator food. (Fun fact, Mafia III allowed you to feed people to the gators.) If you can do that in VI, that'd be cool as hell.

I'd like rampages to return in GTA VI. It's basically a series staple that only IV did not have for whatever reason.

i guess i finally reached old fart age when for the life of me cant understand people getting exited by gta vi graphics
Yeah, me too.

Don't get me wrong. I think it looks very nice, and I'm not gonna downplay the work that went into making it that, but I'm not blown away by it because we've seen these kind of hyper-realistic graphics for almost a decade now.

The high fidelity didn’t do much for me. But just how smooth and lifelike the animations were is awesome. Plus the scenery looks amazing and oozes South Florida.
