I could mostly ignore the "woke" shit because that's unfortunately all you're really going to find a lot of the time, but the constant need to be online is why I gave up on COD.

I couldn't find a source for the online only claim, The video Granger posted just links to a different video that also doesn't have a source. I did find a post from Tez2 on gtaforums talking about how GTA 6 will launch with 2 versions, a version that contains only the online mode, and a version that contains both Singleplayer and Online, like how RDR2 is sold on steam.

I think some wires got crossed somewhere, because I can't find discussion of "Online only" in regards to no offline play anywhere but those two videos, and I don't exactly find someone who makes slop like this all that trustworthy.

I can't see it being online-only. Xbox and PS lock online-only paid games behind a subscription, and locking the story mode behind a subscription will most likely just lose sales. The only way it would have to be online-only is if there are some online features that bleed into single-player.

It's reportedly that GTA Online is now backporting GTA VI assets.

I can't see it being online-only. Xbox and PS lock online-only paid games behind a subscription, and locking the story mode behind a subscription will most likely just lose sales.

I would not put it past them to try. I'm sure they'll release GTA VI as two products over time. I cannot see them releasing the online mode at launch; they'd want to squeeze as much from GTA Online as possible.

It's sad how there's no Vigilante or Firefighter in V, but there is with GTA Online. Saving cats from a tree is a nice evolution of the Firefighter minigame.

personally, i prefer the lower stakes street level stuff that was prevalent in the low levels in online, the doomsday shit and the bunkers all got really bland and sort of felt like a different game.
