Shame games like these are so rare.
In fact, does anyone know an investigation game like this? I know there are police games like SWAT and Ready or Not, but they are shooters.
The only 3d brawler I've found that feels as good as The Warriors is Sleeping Dogs
Speaking of rare games, my memories of the game are very vague. In this one, you can't just go around beating up civilians because you are an undercover cop, isn't it?

The settings for GTA games are fictional, so they can put the city for the next game wherever they want.
Last time Rockstar created a fictional city from the ground up was in 1999 in the 2D era.

Maybe if Rockstar decides 12 year development cycles aren't a good idea they can start expanding GTA 6 like American Truck Simulator by adding on more and more to the map, because I would love to see an Georgia map expansion to GTA 6 that adds Atlanta since they already are teasing Georgia with Gloriana

yes but it gives them an excuse to use assets from rdr2 and gta 6 unless they set it in a different time period like the 1960s
The issue is GTA games have to be contemporary for GTA online, there's no way to go back in time now as you have to sell the consoomers the latest shit, I mean GTA Online was supposed to be 6 months before the story of GTA 5, but in 2017 with the release of gunrunning they finally jumped the time line forward to then-present day.

You can see this from the timeline of meta cars for racing:
2013 - Addler - 2012 Bugatti Veyron
2014 - Zentorno - 2012 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
2015-2016 - T20 - 2014 McClaren P1
2017-2018 - Vagner - 2017 Aston Martin Valkyrie Prototype
2019 - Itali GTO - 2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast
2023 - Stinger TT - 2020 Ferrari Roma / 2023 Ferrari Purosangue
2025 - Suzume - 2021 Aspark Owl

Did they even give a canon ending to 4? Who is "still alive" as of GTA V? Kate or Roman?
No, I think they intentionally left it ambiguous. Which is for the best, Niko's arc with the supporting characters is more or less complete. Plus, it validates whatever choices you made during the campaign.

If the Cayo Perico heist is any indication, I'm sure there will be map expansions in some way, shape or form in VI. Having mainlands with VI's Vice City is a modern, logical evolution from the Vice City of yesteryear. I'm sure the Gloriana region will still be surrounded by water, or they could go the RDRII route somehow.

Good. I hate that shit, when they give you a choice and two endings but basically let you know right away which answer was right or wrong. Resident Evil Requiem did that and it was dumb as shit.

Oh boy I sure hope there's a walking simulator in Cuba, that part was soooo exciting in RDR2

Kate or Roman?
Niko follows Roman in Lifeinvader in V, but we don't know if that's canon or just an easter egg. The only direct mention is Lester saying there was a guy in Liberty City who went dark.
Honestly, it is like trying to give an end to CJ's or Claude's story; it doesn't matter. Their story is over.
Did Niko finally stop whining about not wanting to kill people and just get a job that does not involve killing people? Did he just continue to kill people for the guy on the phone? Did he return to Serbia? Doesn't matter.

Well the biggest thing is making the connection look natural, you can easily do it by making the edges of the regions look like river banks then expanding the roads from the old region to the new region via bridges when you add them as there's no real map size limitations with the rage engine.

I agree but I always did want a follow up for Tommy Vercetti. I know it'll never happen because Rockstar's a buncha queers. And Ray Liotta being dead doesn't help at all :(

I can see a visual gag somewhere, but the 3D era does not coincide with the HD lore. Two completely different continuities.

I'm not sure about beating up civilians. I never tried, because the density of the city meant there were criminal asses to be kicked around every corner.

I also remember that maiming civilians being a pretty bad way to fuck up your cop experience and, in turn, slow your access to perks.
