Ah, another E-Ben spergout over muh racism or whatever the fuck. I was really enjoying his stuff for a while, especially when he played through the absolutely retarded [but hilarious] Vice City Hardlined mod that was unfair as fuck, but then I watched one of his playthroughs of Red Dead Redemption Remastered and at random, he sperged out about the Bad Orange Man or whatever and I kinda fell off. Like how the fuck is that remotely relevant? I think I bitched about him in one of the "YouTubers You Used To Like" threads around here, but it just came out of nowhere. Not to mention he was shitting on the game because of mechanics he either refused to understand or make use of. Like he fucking barely used the cover system and complained about getting fucking smoked in every mission, didn't understand how the shop/buying new stuff mechanic worked so he was always running out of ammo and never topping it off. Just stupid, silly shit that most people innately understand if they have ever played a fucking videogame before. Honest to God, when it's not GTA, his bread and butter, dude has a LOT of DSP moments. His viewers also apparently raided that developer's Discord server to tell him off for his heckin' bad racismerino, but Ben claims he didn't cosign it and had no knowledge of it, even though I'm sure he was well aware it would happen the second he put out his video about it. He knows precisely the type of virtue signaling retards that sort of 'clapback' or 'callout' attracts.
Also, he played through The Warriors [also by Rockstar, considered a sleeper hit in the beat 'em up genre, altogether regarded as pretty good for the era] and relentlessly shit on it for not being like GTA. Like bro, that wasn't what they were fucking going for, they wanted to branch out. Especially given they got criticism in the early days for RDR being "Grand Theft Horse" [or too much like GTA in a different setting] which is now derided as pretty stupid. Why is it that speedrunners just cannot possibly contain their fucking unrelated autism and spergouts on the subject of politics? People don't come to you for that, they watch you because you're good at bing bing wahoo. And I don't particularly give a fuck which way they swing in terms of politics, I don't go to such a channel to hear about politics whether it's "le bad Orange Man" or "MAGA TRUMP IS SO BASED BROS!!!", that's not what it's supposed to be about. Like most streamers his chat is a bunch of annoying ballwashers who think they're a lot funnier than they actually are in reality.
Not to mention the fucking troon invasion of the speedrunning community. HRT has taken nerd culture by storm in the same way crack cocaine ravaged the ghetto in the fucking late 80s and early 90s. Many such cases. Sad! Can't quote in editing but I honestly do think E-Ben deserves a thread, he's gotten to that point, sadly. Problem is you have to scrub through a bunch of eight hour fucking streams and wait for his chat ballwashers to say something that sets him off in order to really collect his lolcow worthy moments.
