I think they need to sell around 37-38 million copies at around 70 dollars a piece to break even. Which would mean they need to triple the day 1 launch sales of GTA V.

That being said, GTA V did break a billion dollars within 3 days of launch. It isn't impossible for them to crack 3 billion within a week.

They need to make a billion dollars off box sells.

They plan to make billions off retards buying sharkcards or whatever the currency is for 6.

Came here to see if there was some discussion about english ben being a fag, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed some of his gameplays in the past but started losing me when he refused to play a "racist san andreas mod" (that for the life of me I can't remember its name). Last thing I watched coincidentally was his first video about the backstabber blues mod, and when he complained after seeing the word 'chink' I closed the video. People like him just want everything be sanitized as fuck, like, motherfucker, you think criminals hold themselves and don't say no-no words? and I mean, I kinda understand the guy; he's on twitch and needs to have the 'correct opinions' to not get in trouble, but goddamn, such an insufferable faggot he ends up looking. I also perused the mod's page and the dev seems like a chill guy, just trying to make his mod as cool as possible. He recenlty added a red district to vice city and looks very neat.

While I agree that goodwill and hype for GTA alone will likely carry them over the line, I think that has the albatross of just how lacklustre this console generation has been might be causing some of these worries.

Xbox has essentially been dead this generation with them seemingly focusing more on just making Gamepass the priority . The PS5, outside it’s memetic “no games”, has had Sony shift to counting consoles shipped (and likely rotting in a warehouse) rather than sold to muddy the numbers.

Factor in console prices continuing to rise to make up for fuck ups (mostly Playstations, can’t say much for Xbox because I’ve heard fuck all about it in ages now), and even the hope GTA6 will be a system seller feels hollow. We’ll likely onow how bad it performed profit wose depending on how quickly the try to get GTAO2 online (or the PC port up)

Yep, I tapped out when at one point during his RDR1 Remastered stream he suddenly went on a tirade about Trump, even though [as far as I can remember] nobody had brought him up and certainly nothing in the game would have reminded him of the Bad Orange Man, I tried to stick it out but a few minutes later he expanded upon his thoughts and started rambling about "transphobia" and I was out, fuck it. Sometimes it genuinely is like people in chat are like fucking mafia enforcers, except they're coming around to post "trans rights!!!" to make sure that you sufficiently kiss the ring and have the right opinions. Another thing he had a problem with was, when he was playing The Warriors [reminder: a game based on a movie from the fucking '70s about gang members who spend all of their time beating the piss out of each other in a dystopian near-future NYC], there was some "problematic" dialogue and a few cutscenes where guys grab a woman's ass or some shit and of course he had to sperg out and remind everyone that such behavior is heckin' bad and inappropriate, as if anyone was looking to a video game based on 1970s gangmembers as an example to follow or a role-model for their own behavior. No fucking shit dude, wow, gangmembers are bad people - what a fucking revelation!

I also noticed that Ben can never just admit that he's bad at a game, somehow it ALWAYS has to be the fault of bad game dev practices, glitches, shitty mechanics, poorly explained mechanics, etc. The Warriors is a great example of this, he was pretty shit at it but it was never his fault, as a result I believe he basically said by the end of it that it was the worst game he'd ever played and he went on a long tirade about how anyone who likes it is retarded and probably 'bigoted' because of the game's content. In that way, he's a lot like DSP, except I don't remember DSP ever outright labeling a game's fanbase as shitty people. He's also unnecessarily harsh on his viewers and is constantly spilling his spaghetti over something said in his chat, I don't get how the fuck people can watch his streams live day after day getting berated for "backseating" him when they make suggestions or prompt him to try something in-game.

His series on VC's Hardlined mod will always be one of my favorites, that fucking mod is hilariously, heinously unfair and packed with total bullshit but his personality just gets grating after a while, and that's discounting his spergouts about unrelated politics. And now he's gonna act like people are going to show up and break into his family's house over some fucking gay forum/website GTA drama lmao.
