Anyone in this thread played that Liberty City Stories on PC mod? I've been holding off on playing it until it's fully complete for a few years now and according to most sources it's now mostly functional. If someone were to just play the story missions and maybe a few of the side missions would there be any issues? LCS is one of the few GTA games I never fully completed (ps2 version runs like shit) and I'd like to give it a go with keyboard and mouse controls. What should I be on the look out for if there is still any issues with it?

I haven't, but that reminds me I still have LCS, VC and GTA3 on PS2, but no actual PS2 to play them with. How are the PS2 emulators, these days?

Grand Theft Auto (and derivative games) are one of the worst series of games out there, not for violent or sexual content, but because the games are basically just The Sims with guns, the plots and characters are generic, and there isn't anything resembling actually challenging or deep gameplay in single or multiplayer- it's basically just pure ADHD, or the game equivalent of a Michael Bay movie like Transformers - designed for people who don't want to even play a role game, and just get boners seeing shit get blow up or running over people with giant vehicles (and awful driving mechanics).
Funny you say that, I envisioned The Sims to be like GTA.

The closest GTA that has been Sims-like would be San Andreas. You could work out, have girlfriends, customize your character and cars, have upgradable stats regarding health, stamina, weapon skill et al, even a day/night cycle that affects some missions.

What type of music is Head Radio supposed to be? Pop?
It's a little vague. Alternative stuff from the 2000s. Plus some boy band crap.

It's owned by "Love Media", a likely spoof on IHeartRadio (formerly Clearchannel). Deregulation under Bill Clinton allowed them to dominate media markets.

Aside from the double entendre, Head Radio is a reference to GTA2. It was one of the stations in level one.

Head Radio. Because your head NEEDS it.

DJ Micheal Hunt. Yep, classic R* humor.

Explain that, please. Clinton deregulated radio?

I would think Lips 106 and Head Radio would make Liberty City more inviting. The cherry music and DJ juxtaposes the dark, gloomy atmosphere of the city.

The FCC changed the rules that a company/entity could own more than one (or two?) radio station(s) in a market; Clear Channel, who's more famous for owning a zillion billboards around the US, started hoovering up stations right and left.

It's kind of like what Gannett did with newspapers.

So bigger companies could monopolize radiowaves? Hence the Love Media "5000 or so sister radio stations?" I never realized how nuanced 3D era satire was.

And a lot of retards pine for the Clinton years. I mean, I miss the 90s terribly, but I don't miss Mr "Well that depends on what the definition of is is".

Speaking of Love Media, WTF happened to Donald between games? It's like David Cross donated his brain to science, and it was transplanted into Donald.

If you can't get MacLachlan back, then don't put him in the prequel. It's that simple.
