No one really talks about the Ballad of Gay Tony. Why is that?
Idk myself, I enjoyed it a lot more than I did Lost and Damned, and it had significantly better weapons/vehicles added too. Luis was a much more interesting character than Johnny too, he came from the hood same as CJ but he actually tried to get out and mostly succeeded. I thought TBoGT was a solid addition and tbh if it had been a bit longer could easily sell as its own spin on a remaster of IV.
They must really be flying high still on shark card sales, I figured we'd eventually see a ps5 rerelease of gta v before we got VI but I had hoped they would at least get around to remastering IV first. The fact that were jumping straight to a bulked up GTA V on PS5 kinda puts the final nail in the coffin of any realistic hopes we had for a GTA IV remaster. It's been forgotten.

Funny how when someone creates an idea like this, they ignore the fact that in GTA IV, Gay Tony and Bernie Crane were the more prominent gay characters to be involved in the series.
For most people, GTA V is their ONLY experience of the GTA series. Even so, just the online.

If Rockstar is to be believed, the Episodes were not really played much thanks to the slightly disappointing reaction from the masses to GTA IV and the fact it was a 360 download exclusive for like 6 months.
That may have influenced their aspect on online focus for GTA. More money with Online = more content. I think they're just lazy.

GTA V next-gen will be out on November 11th. Here's something I noticed from that newswire.

Plus, in honor of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the genre defining Grand Theft Auto III, we’ll have even more fun surprises to share — including some specifically for GTA Online players.

What could that be? Other than shirts in Online and some merchandise?

It really is a shame EFLC went nowhere, I actually really enjoyed the different perspectives of Liberty City they provided. Granted free-roam wasn't really that fun in TLAD, but god-damn I loved cruising around on some fuckin' noisy bikes.

Clipped Wing Dodo that flies like shit and costs $4,000,000
Shitty 8-Ball Prison Jumpsuit outfit that costs $500,000
Rays Bullet Proof Patriot for $10,000,000

Claude's outfit: $1000000000000000

Claudes Outfit has been in the game since day 1, but I could see them making an entirely new one just to trick the retards who came in late.

I never appreciated The Lost and Damned compared to Ballad of Gay Tony. I loved the story, but I felt it was over so quickly. The gang wars and weaponry were the highlights for me.

I completed and owned EFLC before IV. Which made the lore feel incomplete (that's on me, however) By themselves, they are good stories together.

Huh, didn't know that...

Could also just be a couple of radio stations (likely the shitty dance ones)

Shame as Change on Head Radio was a legit good song imo.

I don't like how R* made EFLC redundant in V.

Killing off Johnny, Terry and Clay because of drugs, reducing Yusuf Amir to cosmetic DLC, reintroducing the cast as simple contact missions.

Again, V has potential for single player DLC. EFLC style, prequel, even a la RDR: Undead Nightmare. But alas, Online is where the money is for R*/T2.

I hate what they did with the UL Paper Guy. When from an intelligence, mysterious figure who has eyes everywhere to someone goon you can shoot in GTA V's story and some meh field agent that constantly gets caught in Online.

I have always maintained that if Rockstar were to release a Undead Nightmare style zombie/apocalypse DLC for GTA in that setting it would sell better than most independent games in that category, maybe even better than Left 4 Dead etc. Because think of it, it would be the perfect setting - urban sandbox environment, have limited resources modes on, hordes of enemies instead of traffic. But any kind of single player DLC for GTA V would have been better than the shitfest combo of shark cards and reskinned vehicles most of the time. I will say I enjoy the bikers and some of the vehicles that have been added but some of this shit seems a bit superfluous. KITT from Knight Rider? A flying, armed Delorean? A fucking submarine you can dock offshore? At some point even GTA seems to have jumped the shark.

They could've even incorporated the fantastical themes with the lore. Michael's a movie producer now. Aliens or zombies would work out in a GTA style.

It jumped the shark around the Lowriders update. Last gen GTA Online is more authentic to GTA and the real world than GTA Online now.

rip GTA V SP DLC

(If you don't know, there were supposed to be Alien DLC, Zombie DLC, Agent DLC; all the easter eggs in the final game were hinting at this. Most of it got recycled/referenced in GTA online. Agent (Trevor's story) got turned into the Doomsday Heist. Zombie (Michael's story) got some assets recycled. Alien (Franklin's story) might be the same, though there's an Import/Export auto shop with floor art depicting an alien invasion in online. The alien story would've been next-gen only (Xbox One/PS4) due to the power needed to do it compared to the other two. They announced the SP dlc shortly after release, said nothing about it, and then later claimed there was never any planned. Datamining the game proved this was bullshit.)

There's that, and the fact that they stopped doing the bare minimum by not giving the campaign Online vehicles & weapons after the Lowriders update. The Hydra was in the very next update, and the "co-op focused" vehicles turned out to be perfectly usable by the campaign characters when they were hacked into the campaign.

That seriously pissed me off, especially when they've yet to tell us why they stopped doing that six years ago.
