Again, the Eurphobia physics and then newly developed RAGE engine took time for R* to refine. IV was a mechanically sound third person shooter. You could shoot guns from enemies with a well placed shot. I didn't even know that. Auto-aim made it trivial.

Sorry I thought you were criticizing me for saying that. I should clarify that I mean the mechanics of movement would need to be improved as well as the hud moreso the actual physics or anything.

GTA Online's latest update is seven new arenas for the Tron-inspired Adversary Mode that no one wanted.

This is insanity. I tried to play the Tron levels like 2 months after they first released to unlock the bike discount and literally NOBODY was on them. I had to wait like a year and half for their to be some kind of double XP event and even then I only found like 3 matches tops.

I know the "summer" update has sucked balls for forever now but god damn. It's to the point that I don't believe Cops and Crooks was ever an actual thing and GTAForums just claimed they scrapped it cause of Saint Floyd out of Cope.

what i said?

dude, R* clearly don't know how to make MMOs

IIRC there is reference to CnC in files, but I need to check it tho

Lets see how GTAForums is handling this.

lol these autists still crying about being "loyal customers" after how many blatant "go fuck yourselves" from Rockstar over the years?

That's the best part of RDOnline though.

Or do you want a pegasus that can shoot homing lightning out of its ass and UFOs?
By lifeless, I meant interactions with NPCs.

I would like some of the features from the story mode and other QoL improvements (e.g., better interactions with random NPCs; random encounters; more variety in face, hair, facial hair, and clothing options that feel authentic to the period).

Also, I would prefer to have a customizable character with a set voice and personality, but with a flexible morality that is determined by the player (i.e., Shepard from Mass Effect, V from Cyberpunk 2077, or Arthur Morgan from... well, yeah).

Bethesda is the best at making open world RPGs where the player determines their character's personality and backstory (albeit mostly through headcanon and playstyle). I would not trust BGS with deciding the player character's backstory and personality (e.g., see Fallout 4).

Rockstar can write really good protagonists, and I would prefer their writing and personality choices to having a mute character who never comments on the world surrounding them.

Note: Lifeless and barren can also refer to the small player count, though I prefer my "solo sessions."

Why not just play single player then? It has all that. Just ignore the story after the prologue and do what you want.

Because I like making characters in my video games. Also, multiplayer has some clothes and guns that are not in single player.

Also, isn't it about time Rockstar didn't make a half-assed multiplayer?

You want to make your own character, that has a set personality and set voice, while playing alone in a multiplayer mode?

I don't know. I guess I just don't get it. It sounds like the game you want is there minus making a character that looks like you.

Also while I agree Rockstar should make a better multiplayer, I don't think adding immersive single player content like talking to the NPC's would be the way to do that. After all, the multiplayer part is meant to be about playing and interacting with other people.

My problem is that I just see RDO as a gimped RDR2 with friends and other people. I say add the missing RDR2 features/elements to RDO to make it fun.

Rockstar has the money to do it, they have made enough money from GTA Online to fund a small country (probably).

I know what I want isn't realistic, it's just what I would enjoy in a Rockstar multiplayer.

Note: This is also what I wanted Destiny to be before it launched. A large open world with a compelling narrative that could be played solo or with friends. Not realistic, but it sounds neat imo.
