Gravity Circuit NES retro Mega Man style action platformer

I mean, if we're counting EVERY game in a franchise, then Mega Man is diverse as fuck. Platformers, 3D action RPGs, unique 2D card/based RPGs, a traditional turn-based JRPG, Metroidvanias, fighting games, etc.

Then stop whining that you need MORE Mega Man games. Jeeze. Us Contra niggers only have 10 good games and we had to bear with some looter shooter crap that took a dump on the franchise. Meanwhile you fuckers have 30+ games PLUS RPG, strategic simulation, soccer and cooking simulator bullshit.

You fuckers act like "There should be a new Mega Man every year!" No! You have more than enough Mega Man games. You're like a fat kid at an all you can eat buffet just grabbing the trays out of the food bar and demanding more.

Misery wants company huh, seethe Cucktra fan

I'm joking, I'm not actually invested in an autistic slapfight over video games, more Contra and Mega Man would be nice

You hear that everyone? All the Contra's play the same! No changeup whatsoever!

FFS KONAMI GIVE US A FUCKING STEAM PORT/RE-RELEASE ALREADY!

Yes, it's a dog shit game but it's still different and serves my point.

And I didn't even mention Contra Force (which maybe counts) where you could pick multiple characters and the PSX titles that -while bad- still changed up the gameplay. Not to mention that Super C removed the pseudo 3D over the shoulder levels from the original and added top down levels.

Nothing too personal but do not question the Contra franchise, nigga.
Last time I checked, Contra has been considered a shit tier franchise after the 16 bit era except for that Arcsys game. Didn't know Megaman made you have a spergout but I find it extra funny that Contra is what sets you off. Trying new things while commendable, means nothing when it's shit.

Huh, this popped up in my Steam recommendations during or just after the summer sale. I might have to give it a shot if it's as good as you guys say.

There's no tranny bullshit or any politics in the game as far as I can tell. I think that guy was just referring to how Yacht Club, the Shovel Knight studio, went full woke and donated a significant amount of money to the BLM scam.

It doesn't affect the quality of their product, obviously. I understand why some people won't want to buy their stuff after this, but Yacht Club makes great games and that's more important to me than nigger or tranny charity scams.
Motherfuckers, you did a promotional crossover with Arby's. The only way that could have been any whiter is if it was with In-and-Out Burger. You want to prove you're serious about black representation? Next Shantae game needs to have her be 5 months pregnant while she's out looking for KFC, malt liquor, and the father so she can get more child support.

Doing some top level threadomancy.

So finally got it in the winter sale and played through it. First playthrough I went directly into hard since something told me normal would be too quaint. Was the correct choice. The only thing that gave me shit was the final boss gauntlet till I finally processed the safe areas in the final boss (forced me to quit the level and get all of the upgrades). It honestly didn't scratch the Mega Man hitch, or at least not fully. Melee focus was fine, but the way to use enemy boss powers was very counter intuitive. For the most part I'm a cheapskate so except for very hard fights, I would go in empty on burst gauge and just kind of wing it and for the most part, that worked.

So in the end there are like 20 different Burst techniques yet I barely experimented with like 4 and my most used one was self heal. So in that sense it was honestly a bit of a bust, the "boss paints" made me feel more like I was getting something from the boss (personal favorite is the downward beam one) though much later I noticed the default one fills the burst gauge faster and swapped to that for the final boss. I'm also unsure on the 3 passive enhancement system. It's great that you can swap at any time, but if you want to properly milk it for all it's worth, you will constantly have to pause and swap (I'm going to do a heal, so pause, swap to heal enhancer, do the heal, once done, pause, swap to whatever passive I was using in the fight).

Started another one in Circuit mode which I hope means I can spam my burst techniques more with updated enemy patters and level layout, though this time I'll play in normal since I had enough of being hardcore. Fun little game that I do recommend to anybody that likes action platformers. Do hope it gets a sequel which improves upon the formula as well.

There's a Mega Man fighting game?

I think there's two, Mega Man: The Power Battle and I believe it has a sequel. It's not a traditional Street Fighter style one though and plays more like a regular Mega Man game in terms of controls. I played it on an arcade machine as a kid but don't remember much about it.

I think the term you want is beat-em-up.
It's single screen 1v1 though, typically I think of beat-em-ups as games like Double Dragon where you keep moving to the right like, usually with "3d" character movement (like up and down, not just left and right).

Agreed, plays more like a Beat-em-up, only you have a single opponent instead of waves a mooks.
And it's single screen. Personally I think it's closer to a fighting game.
