@Fallensaint and I really would love to get our hands on the Form 990 for 2015. It won't give any definitive answers vis-a-vis, however it would be possible to use evidence from the form to further suggest how it is they are classifying expenses that are actually inurement and getting the IRS involved.

Apparently the IRS have made Form 990s dating back to 2011 public, though I haven't been able to find theirs yet.

Do you know if reporting requirements are different for small charities in the US? Here, charities with revenue of less than $250,000 have minimal reporting requirements and are not required to have their accounts reviewed or audited by external third parties - so unless someone makes a formal complaint about their financial dealings they get no scrutiny.

Yeah she does and the responses are sometimes concerning. She seems to encourage people to decide for themselves what's medical relevant and that potentially puts people at serious risk. "It's not their business if I'm trans" can be a very dangerous attitude to hold when dealing with medical professionals and it's information you keep secret at your own peril.
