Greta Gustava Martela / Kjel Anderson & Nina Chaubal / Niraj Chaubal - Stole $350k+ from Trans Lifeline, kill count of 2+ from negligence, Founders of Sisterwood/La Zorra.

How do Nina and Greta justify being property owners? Isn't private ownership of land against their beliefs?
i do not know these thieves but private ownership of land is not inherently anti-leftist, that's a huge oversimplification. Most land-reforms where *more* people own private property(as opposed to having a king run the show or a pope or something gay) is after all a classic leftist goal throughout history(the end of feudalism, birth of capitalism and america, these were left-wing developments in their time and freed up land and resources from the declining feudal elite).

to be fair, private property is seen as a more primitive state of affairs than the ideal for far-leftists(luxury gay space communism), but they also see it as a necessary precursor to the complicated and difficult task of transitioning into a socialist plan-economy.

Stealing 330K, or whatever it was, from the needy is btw not peak woke communism at all and, personally, i'd be way more comfy with myself just being a landlord rather than stealing money from suicidal people who need help, who need *the help* of said money, and i would DEFINITIVELY NOT smugly larp out my hatred for the landlords on twitter.

The "evil landlord" equivalent of Greta would be one who a) owned all the rentals in town (like Greta monopolized trans hotlines) b) dangled hopeful and desperate applicants for so long, with zero communication, that some of them wound up killing themselves over homelessness stress and then c) took the application fees and deposits from the rest of the applicants and split town to hide in the Mojave desert, leaving everybody homeless and suicidal.

You mean THAT kind of landlord, Greta?

Cross post: Jake Alley, an incel with a micro penis who frequently shills TLL, posted this (archive) because somebody is being mean to him on the online and defending pedophile Clawshrimpy.

Jake did get an appartment of his own, last time I checked his thread. That's a pretty big change for him.
I was commenting how TLL still doesn't give a fuck about the 41% so long as the gravy train keeps rolling despite the leadership shakeup. That is quite some news, though. I guess I need to catch up on Jake's thread. I've been away for a bit.

I take everything Jake says with a fistful of salt. Not saying TLL is competent (I don’t think it even could be with its setup), but Jake turns everything into a gigantic tale of woe.

Although it does highlight a problem with TLL, i.e. what if it doesn’t work? They refuse to call in professionals. If you’ve been on the line for an hour and the suicidal troon is still suicidal, where do you go from there?

I've never called a suicide hotline, but my assumption was that they would provide you a list of local services and encourage you to connect with them. I also didn't think they kicked you off after an hour when you still wanted to kill yourself, but I also assumed that they're staffed by people who are paid, have someone on 24/7, and are actually trained. It does beg the question as to what to do if it's just someone lonely who wants to talk for hours. I guess get a supervisor and have them deal with it?

Refusing to call in the authorities as a last resort fundamentally means accepting at the outset that some of your callers will kill themselves after they hang up. There is nowhere to go from there. You try your best while you have them on the line and then cross your fingers and hope. TLL isn't the only suicide hotline that does this, IIRC, although it is pretty rare.

This is the majority of callers to any suicide hotline. There will always be a lot more callers who are experiencing suicidal ideation than callers who are imminently suicidal.

A real suicide hotline would contact emergency services for you and keep you on the line until they arrived. Ideally, the operator would be trained in techniques related to problem identification as well as de-escalation and could help talk you down until the police/EMTs arrive.

TLL's stance of "we will not call emergency services" is baffling. The idea that Police/EMTs are just itching to muder transpeople is insane. Even if it was true, it's still better to try that route than leaving someone who will 100% kill themselves to their own devices - you've got better odds that way.

If they want to do this, they'd anonymize the calls somehow so they actually couldn't contact the relevant emergency services, but when you hold yourself out as a suicide hotline and encourage suicidal people to call in, you have then assumed a duty of care. If you breach that, you can be sued by the survivors if that person does go through with it thanks to your failure to do what a reasonable person would have done, or their victims if they turn out violent and you knew it but did nothing.

Depending on state law. If their operators meet the requirements for mandated reporter, they could face criminal sanctions as well
Well, at least when Greta was in charge, they had that one wrapped up with a neat little bow! They simply banned mandatory reporters. I can't find their current training manual, so I'm guessing they got rid of that requirement to get certified by Contact USA.

Also, I noticed that TLL now has a physical address. 101 Broadway, #311 in Oakland. However, this may just be somebody's apartment and they receive mail there? Not sure.

101 broadway is a "coworking space." Bunch of shitty startups pay a monthly fee to use shared office space and receive mail and etc. https://portworkspaces.com/101-broadway/

Whoa, I'd loved to hear THAT early meeting

Greta : People manning the troonphone with qualifications are going to have to report! This is quite the conundrum boy? I-wonder

Nina : Holy Loopholes Transman, I've got it. let's just hire totally unqualified people!

Greta : Smashing old chum! now load the loot into the trans-trailer, we must reach La Zorra before Cis-missioner Gordon finds out the troonphone is just a soup can with a tampon string
