A brief summary of the "characters"
Sally: a copy of characters Enter likes from other shows
Timmy: not much information, with that description, he would fit the spoiled brat stereotype
Linda: why is she the only one against this world's logic?
Robert: He's basically a pushover with the less personality of the bunch, and he being an Enter's self-insert, explains a lot.

his cartoon will never get greenlit
most well known people in the industry have trouble getting picked up, even after going to school and making hit show after hit show examples
•the girl that made steven universe and coined the "fionna and cake" part of adventure time, and made bee and puppycat. Like, a month ago she made a pitch and it got turned down instantly
•the guy who made adventure time couldn't get his next show picked up anywhere, so he had to make "bravest warriors" an online show
•the lady that made enter's beloved mlp had spent 5+ years trying to get a show picked up, she is still trying to this day

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet but here's Enter's latest Growing Around script. Check out the totally original title here.

It's like looking straight into his mind! This made me giddy; it all makes sense now. This is his poisoned interpretation of the real world! Having control? HAVING CONTROL! He fears that, you see? I he were in control of his life, he'd have places to go, people to see, obligations, responsibilities. King Enter I simply hates the idea of responsibility. Behind the asexuality, the victim complex, the cartoon-watching, is a lazy asshole who is so afraid of growing up that he has invented this gray, oppressive nightmare world to scare himself out of it. God, I am satisfied with myself, which now makes me reevaluate my life...

P.S. Rip-I mean, "Appropriation", of KND episode "Operation: W.H.I.T.E.H.O.U.S.E." The sad thing is, I haven't seen KND in eight years.

It seems like most of the episode is Enter bitching about the school system and how horrible he thinks adults are. It's basically him trying to justify why the ridiculous rules his characters live by are supposedly a good thing. Enter is a lazy manchild, and this is his pathetic attempt to justify that. Hell, when you think about it, Growing Around itself is probably Enter's attempt to justify why he's such a manchild. Growing Around has truly become his Sonichu: it's his way to tell the world that he's a hero for living like a child and bitching about cartoons. Really, it would have been better if things didn't go back to normal at the end, and this was the finale or something. Seeing Enter's characters have to face reality was actually kind of satisfying. The bad guy from the episode, the evil president guy, is probably the closest thing Growing Around has had to a likable character. Also, Gumdrops doesn't exist in that reality, so that's a plus.

@Piga Dgrifm: If this is his attempt to create a slice-of-life show a la Rugrats (e.g., it has some sort of quirk to it), then it kind of fails miserably.

@Twilight Sparkle: It kind of irks me that Bob Camp, one of the creative geniuses who helped make one of the greatest cartoons of the 90s what it was, has still not had his own show...

@Headbanger General: So he stole one of his plot ideas? Great, just great.

The posts I rated "Autistic" aren't even the same as the one saying the characters are bland.

Complaining about using the word "sperg" yet rating someone else's post autistic? Consistency, get it right! I had to tell that to @Amud who complained about that a while ago.

But really, the characters ARE bland. There's some personality here and there in certain episodes, but that's about it. Besides, if you could could you give me their personality traits?

The "autistic" rating means you're rating them for getting worked up over trivial things, or over-analyzing/obsessing over them. Which isn't exactly the same as using it as a discriminatory term.
By your logic, how is it not? You had said use of the word "autistic" in a negative-ish word was "ableist" a while back in a post, so tell me.

Also, not the point I was trying to make.
Then what was?

When someone rates a post autistic, they're not referring to a disability, but the made-up definition. Actually referring to someone as some form of the word is not right no matter how you spin it.

The point I was trying to make is that the posts I gave the "Autistic" rating was not the same post that called the characters bland, which was the complaint.

NJA's 'tism is making you go off topic again, guys.
Hence why I stopped replying to the TheRich4270 thread. It was REALLY getting off topic.

At least here we were talking about Growing Around (the characters specifically), but it's not worth the risk of getting off topic again this thread.

Technically any "derogatory" form of the word autistic is a made-up definiton. The term "sperg" is as well, but as Dwarf said this forum could get really off topic, so I guess I should stop here.

OK.

"Mr. Enter and Kyle: When do you think that the show will be ready to air, and what channel will you pitch it to?"

I'm loving these comments in the journal so far, even the basic ones.
