From the pitch bible:
Step into the lives of Linda, Robert, Sally and Timmy as they struggle with the day to day excitement of living in world where kids rule in a fun, slice of life narrative that puts kids in charge and parents in school. Both appealing to childhood fantasies while parodying the hardships of adulthood. I mean, we want to have empathetic, relatable characters, whose problems reflect the problems both kids and adults face. We want the audience to be able to learn something, but still find themselves entertained and laughing
Sally is trouble. A fun-loving 9 year old with a wild imagination and an explosive personality, Sally has a tendency to think before she acts, often getting herself into trouble. She's going to have to learn a lot if she ever wants to become mayor. But with a heart 10 ice-cream cones wide, and an attitude as sweet as sugar, she always tries to put things right in the end.
Life is right where Timmy wants it, and he won't let it budge. Even if it grows legs (or maybe wings!) and tries to run off, Timmy keeps it on a tight leash. The boss of his own lemonade store, living with a happy (if not slightly disorganised) family, Timmy leads a stable life. He knows what he wants and where he's going. And he's not gonna grow up.
Robert gives a lot. He loves his family; his wife, his children (and sometimes his pony). But being split four ways can be tough. Whether he's giving advice, playing video games or helping Sally cook, Robert is always kept busy. Now if only he had time to finish his homework…
Mother, Wife, Former magician, a jazz musician, and with enough determination to make an egg-and-spoon racer proud, Linda can do anything she wants. Except be an adult. Life is tough when your origami crane is replaced by paper planes, or when your oil painting doesn't fit under the magnet on the fridge. Sometimes you've just gotta stick to your water-guns and make your kids proud.
