It could also work if Enter went in a completely silly direction. Having kids in charge would make some kind of sense if the world actually operated on kid logic, like if thunder actually was caused by angels bowling, but no, he's insistent that GA takes place in a world just like our own.
I said this before in the thread, I agree with you
Also, things like the Stork, because "The Talk" would be really akward with the kids having authority to say what you are saying "is a lie"

As far as we've seen, there are only couples with one, or two kids, what happens when there are triplets?

One of them is killed, like in "The Giver".

Enter wants to write for kids
because ofwhat the evils of Casey Alexander and crew has done to them

There's knowing how to write for kids (especially while respecting them, so they can really enjoy what's put in front of them, at least IMHO.) - and then there's this nonsense which kids will definitely NOT feel they are being written for .

How about an episode where the foreign exchange student from eastern Europe that recounts a story where she was forced by another kid to choose which of her puppies would be sent to obedience camp, and which would be put to sleep?

Or an episode about a Russian exchange student coming during the Cold War and being bullied, because of fear of espionage?

Actually, I could see this as a pretty good parody of kids' shows for a mature audience. If King Enter would kindly grow a sense of humor, I can actually see this show taking off.

Yeah, it could start out looking like typical children's programming but then exploring darker themes, visuals, like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. It could begin with what is seemingly childhood innocence but then show what it would really be like if children were allowed to run rampant in society.

But then again, DHMIS would probably make Enter go piss himself and cry because its "too mean spirited :C".

He doesn't know it exists because it hasn't been on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon.

DHMIS did the "children's show gone wrong" trope right. Enter just did the children's show in general wrong.

Entertained them? What monsters.

Isn't this how "Children of Men" started? No fertility for like 18 years? Maybe this a prequel for it..
Enter would get all the credit in the world if that's what this was. It isn't but by god that would be the greatest swerve.

Growing Around's FAQ is probably the only time where I've ever left a FAQ having more questions.

And not in a good way.

Enter really could've summed everything up as:

Guideline #1: It's a story where kids run the world, adults go to school, and a horse is an acceptable pet in a suburban environment. Stop overthinking it.

But of course he can't then go and complain about cartoons for not "explaining things" :|

"Don't overthink it!"
Proceeds to overthink SpongeBob, a show with no continuity

After lurking this post for quite a bit, I'd like to ask if Growing Around has an established prison system, or if it's just "time-outs" because it'd be one hell of an easy time breaking out of minimal to medium-security prison.
Most likely just times-outs unless an adult is tried as a child, which honestly has worst implications if you think about it.

Which would then imply that the age of consent is 18 and below. (:_(
