Why even have a pony on the show? Hasn't Enter even seen Lisa's Pony or Bart Gets an Elephant? Those episodes both deal with the troubles of having such high-maintenance pets.
If the pony turns out to be an MLP reference, it may as well already of been answered.

I wouldn't count on it. 'Sides, Enter probably wouldn't like them (especially the elephant one) because of Homer.
Not to mention, vaguely remembering the Lisa pony one, Lisa ends up having to give up the pony since it mean't her father had to work harder (which also mean't Homer would invariably mess up at his jobs due to how he'd have to stay awake).

Yeah, I remember seeing that happen too. But I don't expect Enter to include the downsides to owning such high maintenance animals anyways.

Hell, if it were even just a cat, he'd probably not include the downsides to it (cleaning their shit, constantly feeding them, making sure they're neutered, that sort of thing) either. Which to me, feels like a cop out and more so if it just so happens to be a main character too.

To be fair, no cartoons that I know of didn't touch on those either with a pet such as a cat even when the cat was a large character.

@c-no: You are correct.

This is why I don't have a pet, incidentally.

We all know he added it because he is a brony.
The fact that @Twilight Sparkle posted saying that MLP triggers Enter would add to the brony part, especially since he would go into depression if the show stopped as Twilight Sparkle said.

Eh, you got a point. Difference was that they didn't really want to because they had more important things to tell. With Enter, I get the feeling that it'd simply be ignorance on his part considering the whole "Pony as main cast member" thing.

I have a feeling it may just mean the pony will be present in almost every episode, but other than that, I haven't a clue.

He did own a dog named Patrick before it died. That's the one thing I can think of that enter has owned as a pet.

Guess what?
