Xrd hit just right with weeb types, I'd imagine, and coasting off that momentum, Strive seems to have drawn in all the tourists who were excited to play their favorite series for the first time.

The series got completely retooled for casuals. Most characters have their moveset gutted and simplified.

The worst thing, though, is that the balance is fucked. While the game is always about high damage, here you have damage monsters like that fat fuck Goldlewis and Yasuke-wannabe Niggeryuki completely wiping out Millia Rage in 2 to 3 hits while she barely does any damage to them. And her damage got nerfed recently while Niggeryuki's remain untouched.

I feel you, but at the same time GG was ALWAYS the fighting game for bizarre faggots who can't play a game unless it's full of gay nonsense mechanically and a safe-edgy 'actually, humanity bad' narrative for bizarre faggots to navalgaze over.

If tranny!Bridget actually caught you off guard, you weren't actually paying attention to the story, such as it is. 'Basic human nature sucks, leave it behind' is a core theme. Of course they would take it to the logical conclusion and embrace the full tranny conception of the old genderbender angle as a social performance that fucks with those pesky human biases.

I like how the newest patch was apparently utter dogshit and only made the game even more unbalanced, and most of the Strive playerbase celebrated instead, cheering that "Finally, they're embracing that this is a shit game! We can have FUN now!"

I also like how, despite our kvetching about Strive ITT, it seems most everyone else on the internet also views Strive and its fans as a total cancer.
