You're mixing up the old lore with the retcon. In the old games Bridget always referred to himself as male, he just had to appear feminine due to the superstition you've mentioned. It was only in Strive that he's been canonically groomed into being trans, and we're now supposed to act like that's always been the case.

Isn't Amane a lot better used? Aside from the Carl thing, he was a lot funnier and a lot more interesting. Mainly because they focused on his job rather than his sexual identity.

Despite him being someone who creeps on dudes in order to recruit them into his crossdressing dance troupe, he's alright. Usually picks up war orphans and such in order to give them better lives + work experience, even if it's as a part of his troupe. Also played the role of an "enigmatic Observer" pretty well. Better than Rachel, I'd argue.

While i fully Support a "laugh at Strive players" thread, OP oviously just got tilted by a Bridget/Testament player because he FUCKING SUCKS AT FIGHTING GAMES.
Guilty Gear was never cool. it was always about Daisukes Mary Sue self insert meeting cringe personifications of each of his fetishes (it's all of them) and the Story is 2000's anime buzzword bullshit. Truth is, GG was always right on the edge of being a "kusoge" but simply had too many elitist, thin skinned players with nothing else to pride themselfs as a playerbase to be seen as one. And Strive, love it or hate it, is the coolest Guilty Gear has ever been. The characters actually look like characters and not like the sketches you drew on the side of your college Block in high school, the presentation is tight and you can just pick the old Songs if you like them more. If you ar a GG oldhat, you were gay all along.

But fuck it, Roman Cancels are the dopest mechanic ever.
