Guilty Gear Strive Hate Thread

Somehow the fact that ArcSys put Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners in as a crossover character (wouldn't Rebecca with her powerfists and guns fit better? Or David in the mech suit?) annoyed me more than the gross stupid genderfuckery with Bridget and Testament.

EDIT: So THAT'S where the edit button is. I need a new vision prescription.

The one nice thing about Strive is that it's pretty moddable, which was fun to learn to do a while back (scripting stuff, mind you, not cosmetic shit). I should get back into it, still have my old project files lying around.

Just found out about this franchise through the good music tracks. Read the comics then binged the whole of GG2, Xrd and Strive on Youtube. I must say, Xrd was peak.
My sympathies lie with you guys that had to see your beloved franchise get injected with estrogen. May they course-correct on the next entry... doubt tho.

If you hadn't heard them yet, check out Isuka's OST and XX's Korean OST. They're also very good. The estrogen was sadly backported by the community.

Yeah, you can select it in-game too. Slayer's theme is just a straight up mix of Bloody Tears. Overall it's a very good soundtrack with a few duds. Character themes are for the most part good (I'm not a fan of Anji or Faust's), and the non-character themes also tend to be good.


'Latez' is also really good.

I think Kliff actually gets one of my favorite character themes in the KN one.

Instead of Daisuke Ishiwatari like usual, it was composed by Shin Hae-chul of the Korean rock band N.EX.T.
He died in 2014 of medical malpractice, but I'm pretty sure I've heard some people claim it might have been a government-sanctioned hit, because they criticized social injustice in their songs or something? I don't know enough about South Korean politics to confirm or deny that, though.

I'm happy that Robo Ky isn't being forgotten but I was hoping he'd be a playable character :lossmanjack:
edit: Venom's theme is pretty good if you ignore the incomprehensible lyrics. I wish that they would release instrumentals for these songs*sigh*
