For those who don't know Säkkijärven Polkka is a Finnish folk song that Finnish Army would use it to trigger Soviet radio mines and this is just the Eurobeat version of it.

-It's a metaphor for the collapse of the British empire, but also an extremely large oil tanker that would crack and break no matter what they'd do cause of it's size. A metaphor for the empire's crumble.
 
I've been enjoying this mini-revival of pop punk from the 2000's that's been happening recently. Even if Olivia Rodrigo's "good 4 u" sounds like her pulling off her best Hayley Williams, it kinda slaps.

 
Can't do the videos because I'm on my phone and I'm an ancient fart, but Only In My Dreams, by Debbie Gibson is one of my guilty pleasures. So is Toxic by Britney.

When I first saw The Wire I forgot how old it was and figured this song was pretty recent when it started playing during a scene, but it's fucking ancient. Trashy but also catchy as hell imo
