Guilty pleasure Youtube channels? - Who are you subbed to that you know you shouldn't be?

For me, I love videos uploaded by a guy who calls himself OVS (or "Obscure Video Services"). His specialty is uploading footage saved from old video tapes he had to convert before they were too late. Today he uploaded this gem from 1971 of the Apollo 14's moon landing from an NBC broadcast, taken from the end of a reel....

DSP- Somehow watching a man who sucks at video games motivates me to play through the souls series once more, I even managed to beat Pontiff Sulyvan and Champion Gundyr on my first attempt.

Spoonyone- I have a fondness of obscure RPGs, the ultima series.

Rob Dyke- Only for Seriously Strange, morbid history lessons and curious tales of how fucked up thing can and will get. I don't watch his other stuff but learning about Scalphism and the history of medieval torture peaked my interest.

Oxhorn- I'm a lore nerd and yeah he is a shill but I used to watch his Inventing Swear words machinima long before he did the lore videos on fallout, it would be nice if he just did the lore properly and not use mods to make claims. The Autclave trash-fire keeps me warm and his voice helps me sleep.

Disney parks vloggers. It's decent substitute for an actual trip, with the added bonus of not having to pay for tickets, a place to stay, food, etc. and not being in physical discomfort from walking around in a crowded park in the sun all day. Plus as these are people who go to the park regularly they tend to focus on the little things like the events and various food items. It's stuff people who rarely go or will only go there a few times will never see, since from my experience you're mostly focused on getting on the rides you want and finding any food to eat (with maybe one dinner reservation)

Not sure i'd call it a guilty pleasure but I've been subbed to team AVO for years despite the fact that they have pretty much split (as every troll group inevitably does)
One of the superchats on Jim's Microsoft E3 stream was "Team AVO deserves ice cream" and that sent me back. I like to go back and binge watch them make Minecraft redditors sperg out every so often.

Super Humman. It's just videos of him doing wrestling moves on dumb shit like cacti, lights bulbs, and toy cars, and for some reason I have to stop whatever I'm doing to watch him next time he uploads.

Shoe0nHead, even with her Millennial hipster weirdness, Marina and the Diamonds and all that shit.
TheQuartering, even with how he can't sit still in his chair.
Bearing and his girlfriend Sugartits. Cartoon bear couple taking the piss out of SJW and feminist vloggers.

A bunch of gamer review channels, so many I've hit 'subscribe' for over the years I can't list them all or even tell you who some of them are anymore.

Sienna D'Enema.

ToddInTheShadows. He may be a cucked nu-male, but the amount of research he does for his One Hit Wonderland videos is admirable.

Bree Olson? Oh, that's right. After she quit porn she tried some quirky Jenna Marbles type sex advice show. Yeah, she's in there too.

Cinemassacre - I've long outgrown AVGN, and I fucking can't stand Mike Matai, but I still enjoy James's videos on movies.
Yeah I learned a lot about classic cinema from him, though why I don't know
I like watching Japanese girl youtubers playing games. Not only I like hearing their voices, but some of them are pretty competent gamers unlike the game journos we got. Of course I'd be embarrassed to let anyone know it.

I fail to see how he's a guilty pleasure, sounds cool to be honest, could you explain better how he would be perceived as a guilty pleasure.

Any channel that does text commentary - Sometimes using voice commentary won’t cut it for me; that’s where these kinds of channels come in. Some of my favorites include:

Aquarius199 (known for reviewing crappy Doom wads)

Skawo (who does Let’s Plays using text commentary and a whole lot of snark)

Annoverse (who are a group of people who do annotated text commentary on old school (and on occasion new school) cartoons, TV shows, and commercials)
Why would you consider them guilty pleasures? The reason you like them's a tad weird, but I wouldn't say there's any reason to have guilt for liking them, A Jolly Wangcore's quite popular and he was a text YouTuber at first. and Crowbcat's completely textless yet he's insanely popular.

Rate me autistic if you feel like doing so. I’m pretty much asking for it by posting this.
Mate it's rather tame to be honest, liking Keemstar alone would be twice as autistic as this entire list, whether that's a good or bad thing in your book is up to you.

Moving from that and on to a guilty pleasure of mine I'd say Simon Whistler's probably the main one I have, his channels are kind of standard Top 10/trivia channels. As a result he doesn't rock the boat to remain advertiser friendly, and has a tad too many sponsorships. But with that I think he's a pretty solid presenter, and I do like the occasional WatchMojo-tier channel where you learn some trivia that's probably slightly inaccurate.

I suppose I'm thinking of a lot of people out there who don't appreciate this level of archival rescue or anything made decades before they were born.

Sure thing, but I cannot promise feet. Best thing about them is they don't just play mainstream games, they play lot of indie games. Nowadays you can see them collaborating and competing in the games each other, more enjoyable than anything western entertainment offers now for me.

Also do check this british girl gamer out. I like her enthusiasm for role playing games.

I'm almost certain he's got the 'tism. His movie reviews are pretty meandering and he tends to repeat himself constantly. Oddly though he's really good to listen to when falling asleep and you're the kind of person who likes having some background noise.

I sometimes watch really tism-y game reviews when I’m bored. I just really like watching game reviews for some reason.

I am subbed to lots of cringey people for uhm. research purposes. Some are official lolcows, but most of them are rather private lolveal, who have not reached their full potential yet. Should they make it, I can shmuckle smugly, knowing, I was getting my milk from them before it was cool.
