Guns are literally the problem.

Wild animals, burglars, immigrant rape gangs, census takers, pit bulls, what is the average rural American supposed to do when confronted with these things? Run for their life and call a Government Service to come take care of it in at least 30 minutes time? Most would die after 5 minutes if not armed.

Cities are no different, a walk to your favorite park could be interrupted by criminals or homeless people cracked out on drugs, you are outnumbered and have no chance of survival unless you are armed. The average citizen is a bystander and will watch you get stabbed to death and record it saying "Oh my god!" I would rather be armed and have a chance to live. Many such cases, especially on this site.

Countries without guns are at the mercy of the lowest common denominator. People join the police JUST to get a gun and abuse the power that comes with it. Gangs are armed regardless and rule the streets. Cartels operate comfortably and intimidate citizens knowing the worst they can do is stab at them.

America is protected against any kind of land invasion because every other citizen is armed. The government fears the protective citizen and promotes the docile ones because they are afraid of being overthrown. Would you happily give your life and well being to the cops or the average politician and hope they protect you?

We have to take the bad with the good, schools are a shithole and these shootings only prove that the school system is retarded and ignores kids in need of mental health support. They also keep happening because the media promotes the hell out of them and it is always nationwide news.

Would you leave every rural American citizen to die just because of a new fad in crime? One that could be easily fixed without touching the 2nd Amendment?
