Gurl Games! What are they? Strange little fashion and beauty themed flash games targeted at tween age girls (I know, I hate that term) but mostly, if not entirely, played by lonely women in their twenties and thirties. I was first introduced to them by my crazy ass housemate (Beth, for those of you who are familiar with the Personal Lolcows thread) who would spend hours trying to dress up The Prettiest Girl at The Prom instead of doing her homework.

They're also what Rose/Destiny (the Rose3212 thread) uses to make her masterpieces.

So why do they deserve their own thread? Because they're creepy as hell, that's why.

Let's take a look at: The Cool Teacher:

The art is unsettling at best:

Nightmarefuel at worst:

There's even a Rosa Parks dress up game. Where you can take Rosa Parks clothes off and get her ready for her big day!
If Rosa Parks isn't safe from Gurl Games, nothing is. So Gurl Games! Post your own frightening examples!

(Also because I know you want it: the links for Cool Teacher and Rosa Parks. Make them the prettiest girls.

I would cite the Sims as a girl game if not for how guys play it too. Not to the same dramatic extent though.

It doesn't fit as this perfectly, but Second Life has a lot of the traits. People spend enormous chunks of their life trying to make their avatars and outfits look perfect.

Holy Crap, that cool teacher game looks like a Titan from Attack on Titan.

Other than that, I actually like some dress up games like on Azeala's dolls and dolldivine. I haven't made a doll in a while though, I was really into them last year and yes I am a lonely woman in my 20's

I had a copy of Mary Kate and Ashley Sweet 16. I got it for my birthday one year from one of my aunts because she knew I liked video games and I was a girl soooooo what better way? But yeah, it was basically Mario Party, but well... moronic... It was an okay game though if you are in the right state of mind and like laughing at bad games/movies/books/whatever.

and yes, I saw the Game Grumps episode and it brought back memories of my brother, his friends, and I playing it and laughing at it hard. I must admit though, for some reason or another, we would never manage to finish a single game we started.

So unless she's a Dunmer or is has a skin colored that is represented in less then .00001 of the world's population, I think they might have used the wrong fill color.

I tend to play a female character in games (Not always though) and it's usually because it's slightly more interesting at least to me to play as a female protagonist.

Same here. I've done a few FemShep runs in the Mass Effect games, and I spent most of FFXIII controlling Lightning (although that was just because her ultimate attack was stupidly overpowered).

I used to just play as male characters, but lately I've been finding that I actually like playing as a female character more.

I'll admit it; I played Super Princess Peach as a kid and enjoyed it

I wouldn't count it just because it's leagues better than stuff like "ride Barbies pink horse!" and "dress up horribly done art!". It's a real game that happens to star Princess Peach.

I've already mentioned this one in the weird games topic but it's worth mentioning here too: Motoko-chan no Wonder Kitchen. A game in which little girls are taught to be good little housewives by learning how to cook recipes featuring Ajinomoto brand mayonnaise.

Jesus Chris these zoom ins are getting creepier and creepier! (And I love it)

Also Super Princess Peach is horribly girly. But also pretty great.

I don't think I've ever seen Super Princess Peach, but if it's similar to Hyper Princess Pitch in anything more than the name, then I might have an inaccurate perception of girliness.
