Hacking Team Hacked

This is breaking news, so I'm light on the details but it seems pretty lol to me.

Hacking Team, an Italian IT Company that has been investigated by the United Nations for providing software to brutal regimes to help monitor their citizens has been the victim of a security breach. The biggest bombshell shows they've been providing services to the genocidal Sudanese Government which they have vehemently denied. A 400 GB torrent was uploaded by anonymous individuals and it looks like they were definitely doing some shady shit.

They've also provided services to North Korea, Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc. and holy shit these people are going to get fucked up.

They'd better not plan on doing much travel in the near future and to stay out of any countries that aren't shitholes, because when trials for shit like genocide, torture and crimes against humanity happen before some international tribunal, small fry like these are going to be small hanging fruit.

Never mind some of their former clients might want to get rid of them too.

Good riddance to bad rubbish if they do.

Ahaha, I'm positively tickled by this.

So, one of the guys working for this company got panicky and butthurt about it. It's hilarious, he started threatening people with jail for posting stuff. Also, "uhh, huhh... DON'T READ IT, IT'S GOT A VIRUS IN IT!!!" Eventually he closed down his twitter account. But there's an archive.

I'd find it funny if these bastards hadn't helped some of the most oppressive governments in the world track down dissidents, who were then tortured, and in some cases, executed. They're horrible people and I hope they're brought up on charges. Of course, some of the countries on that list are noted for having death squads on the payroll, and some regimes might go to the trouble of sending a hit team to Italy to express their displeasure in person.

I'd say these douchebags need to worry more about former clients deciding it's safer to have them "disappear" before they can start talking than they do other countries trying to charge them with crimes. Whether they get fished out of the bottom of a river or end up spending the rest of their lives in a cage, lol #TYCED
