Haitian Crisis - Organized Crime, Cannibalism, Election Problems And Foreign Interventions

Why don't the gangs enter their capital building and claim the government?
They're just gay, retarded puppets of the oligarch families.
The families benefit from a government that only exists on paper and the gangs can't tie their own shoelaces. If they tried to act like real boys then the money and guns would go to their rivals.
It's more convenient for all of them if they stick to taxing movement and commerce in their little cuts of the island, that way they have no responsibilities of governing and can continue their petty reign of terror.

What is stopping people from taking some border town and making a tax heaven out of it?

The UN.
They don't give a fuck about the country being a complete shithole, but don't anybody DARE attempt to violate the national sovereignty of the shithole country or they'll actually get off their asses, kill you for attempting something productive, then leave the country in an even worse state somehow.

Vigilantes once fought Haiti’s gangs. Now it’s hard to tell them apart.
The Washington Post (archive.ph)

I remember hearing about something similar happening in Mexico where self defense groups turned to drug dealing to stay funded and ended up acting identically to the cartels they fought. Gotta love how third worlders descend into violence and criminality without a strong central government, literally every time.

It was a dictatorship with a secret police force that suffered from a severe brain drain (a lot of Haiti in professional fields left the country). Papa Doc also apparently confiscated peasant landholdings and gave them to loyalists although even with that in mind he did upset the mulatto elite of the time and maintained support from the rural Black population in the country. As for Baby Doc, he was very corrupt and lived in luxury while his country suffered with poverty. It doesn't seem like either of them were the "ideal" type of dictator.
I find it funny that almost every 3rd world dictator (whether it's Saddam, Gaddafi, Amin, etc.) had at least a few redeeming qualities.

Neither Papa nor Baby Doc had anything of value under their rule. Still the same Anarcho-Tyranny shithole as always.

Excited for this upcoming supposed election. Now that is going to be a fucking absolute disaster, should be fun to watch. The addiction to enforcing democracy to "legitimize" these governments even in places where it has proven completely useless and corrupt is truly baffling. If they took place now nobody would care what the results are, because obviously the majority of the country would vote either under duress or not vote due to threats to voting stations, and the situation on the ground does not appear to be improving whatsoever.
No matter, we must enforce democracy, gotta voote fast.

Niggers returning to mean.

If government authority, supply chains and law and order totally broke down in Europe or America, there’d be some neighborhood watch groups, and sure: Some fighting too.

But it sure as fuck wouldn’t result in cannibalism and mass rape.

You underestimate the number of imported jeets, arabs and gypsies.
