It would be nice payback if half life showed up at the awards and stole the show.

 
My X feed is fucked now with several people posting about Half-life 3 rumors, parody accounts, and people posting that syringe Freeeman meme. :stress:

good bet to be honest, put at least 50$ on it being that instead of half life, although HL alxy2 might come for them to sell their independent VR goggles shit, weren't for my monkey money taxes i'd buy day fucking one if valve sold it outside US.

Since there is now a low rumble of people expecting the HLX announcement relatively soon, let's come up with outlandish claims about what will be in the game.

Full 1:1 day night cycle where you have to sleep or you max health will go down.

Over 100 different endings.

Gordon can speak and there are dialogue trees.
 
Jason 'Thor' Hall has secretly taken over responsibility for the release and will push it right after he finishes Heartbound, which might be done after his next monthly update.
It will be light on dialogue because Thor hates writing and focused on mechanics, which he loves.
HL3 will be out by Christmas, or almost done by next Christmas.
Gordon's love of ferrets will be a central focus of the game.

  • One puzzle has you being given a shit ton of items to play around with and you need to construct a functional bridge out of them to get past a chasm and the physics system is so realistic that it needs to be a proper bridge.
  • Borealis is discovered in the intro mission and becomes the hub for the player as you go through the rest of the game hopping through timelines and dimensions to destroy the combine.
  • Dog dies saving Gordon, very sad moment
  • Alyx is brainwashed by the G-Man or sent on missions that go against whatever goal Gordon and Friends are trying to achieve. Maybe randomly throughout the game Gordon sees and hears her like Halo 3 Cortana
  • Similarly to the HL2 finale the HL3 finale has you obtaining a superpowered crowbar to fight the G-Man who is revealed to be Gordon from an alternate timeline who got trapped in Xen and turned into a 4-Dimensional being who can shapeshift.
  • Ending cutscene has Gordon saying a single word to the G-Man before killing him.
  • Post-credits cutscene showing the return of Adrian Shepherd setting up a DLC/spinoff.
  • Custom vehicle building allowing for great use of HL physics system.
  • Large, mini-open world levels with many locations and objectives to fulfil including linear missions.
  • Bomb ass documentary
  • Jokes about how long the game took to develop
  • Games source code gets compromised days before release and years worth of development is leaked, despite it mostly being prototypes and scrapped content it gets dubbed the Half-Life 3 Beta

Half Life 3 will feature real time, ray traced, fully dynamic dust simulation. Dust will dynamically build up on surfaces and if stirred up will cause Gordon to break out into a coughing fit.
 
  • Someone's awful fetish appears
  • There's a "Trans Rights" hidden on a texture somewhere
  • Sweet Baby are involved. Alyx complains about racism.
  • There's an abundance of unskippable cutscenes where you wait while people talk
  • A lot of content is just stolen from Halo

I've been playing a lot of Voices of the Void and while that's not actually in the game, it made me think of that mechanic. It'd be more inline with Animal Crossing.
