Has Anyone Heard Of Fark?

I was reading an old blog and mistakenly clicked a share link to a site called Fark. It's basically like Reddit; has anyone heard of it?

Fark was big back in the late Web 1.0 era and it was one of the main drivers of Internet culture back then along with Something Awful. There were more than a few morning zoo radio shows that basically just read headlines of articles posted there. It was arguably responsible for the Florida Man meme. I distinctly remember doom-F5ing the comments of articles posted there on 9/11. It got supplanted by Digg (which then got supplanted by Reddit) but somehow it's still around, though last I looked the user base was about as insufferable as Reddit's.
