Years ago. Used an SGI workstation running Sparc Solaris. They were for programming in Java3d. It was pretty badass but I was too much of a retard to use it to its full functionality (ray tracing and other complicated shit)

No, but I've always liked them, the Octane and Tezro in particular. Considering those machines support up to 8GB of RAM, they very well might be useful once you install BSD on them (because of course a NetBSD port exists)
