Has anyone seen their teacher die?

University or College professors included.

I literally mean they had a stroke, brain hemorrhage or other fatal and sudden attack in the middle of a lesson.

Not victims of school shootings.

I just wonder how people react in that situation?
Do kids laugh or cry? Or just stunned silence?
Did someone take it upon themselves to tell other teachers or available adults, or did they just sit there until the bell rang?

One time I had this one teacher, much loved by the students, in high school who got cancer. It was very aggressive, more than I thought. I remember seeing him in the hallway. He smiled and greeted me. I said hello back but continued walking where I was going. A few days or weeks idk later he died. I had no idea he'd be gone that quick. I should've talked with him in that moment but I didn't. It is what it is I guess. He left his wife behind. No children. The wife is a very kind woman, never remarried afaik. I remember the silence before and after the funeral. Rarely was the air in the school so still.
