Has Chris ever experienced Mirth?

Re: Does Chris laugh?

Chris' lack of mirth has more to do with being stupid and not understanding the joke than it does with his autism.

Re: Does Chris laugh?

Being unfunny does not equal not being able to laugh. That's why comedians are a thing.

Also, i think people who wonder shit like this about Chris are actually stranger than Chris.

Re: Does Chris laugh?

If he laughs it sounds like a rapist.

Re: Does Chris laugh?

Rarely if ever. He has no one to laugh with. The only time is when he is watching some silly cartoon or something

Edit: Well he did laugh... when he knocked down the twin towers in that video

Re: Does Chris laugh?

He doesn't have the reasons to laugh anymore thanks to you, you damn trolls. :C

Re: Does Chris laugh?

wasn't he laughing like a madman when he tried to run over snyder?

Re: Does Chris laugh?

I'm sure Chris laughs at things that he finds funny. That being said, Chris doesn't really know how to place a laugh in a social context. Most people (read: non-autistic ones) can pick up the subtle nuances of conversation and instinctively know when a small laugh is appropriate, even if the situation isn't really funny. It's why we laugh at bad stand-up artists and Uncle Ned's terrible jokes--partially out of politeness and partially out of pity.

Chris doesn't have that filter, and it's compounded with the problem that his droning monotone makes his laugh sound nasally, forced, and robotic. When Chris laughs, I'm sure he's genuinely laughing--but it sounds unnatural to most people.

Which time? He's ran over Snyder twice.

Re: Does Chris laugh?

I've heard Chris's real laugh (as opposed to that forced heh-heh he does when he wants to indicate that his listeners should think he's clever about a dumb pun he just said). It's really unsettling and sounds like some sort of carrion bird calling its friends to feast on a dead cow.

I think you can hear it in some of the Kacey calls. In this one:

Kacey makes a joke about how you should get pancakes at IHOP because it is the international house of pancakes and Chris sounds genuinely amused. It sounds like an older man's chuckle.

It is a little hard to make Chris laugh. Because he is :stupid: he is unlikely to get subtlety, and because he is naive, he is likely to take the joke as a legitimate statement. That seems to be pretty much the story of his life. He is a living in a joke that he thinks is real.

I don't see Chris ever have any pleasure from other people's happiness. When Chris sees other people being happy he gets extremely jealous and sometimes even places curses on them.

I don't know if we've ever seen Chris truly happy. He may be smug when he thinks he's won or gotten something he wanted but I'm not sure that smugness and happiness are quite the same thing.

Chrissy expectations from life are far too unrealistic for him to ever really achieve. Forgetting the fact that he puts forth absolutely no effort to reach said expectations, how full filling can it be to waste each day ping-ponging between seething hate and soul crushing loneliness?

Joy is reserved for those individuals living life, not those sitting on the sidelines waiting for it to drop into thier laps.

I think Chris should sit down and watch this video so he can get a real good shot of mirth.

Man, from the beautiful blue set, to the sparkly-synth music when they do "The Walk", the emcee being a super nice guy, The Sparkly-synth music when they win.

I love how Chris laughs off what is a legit question. Non-Breakfast food at IHOP tends to blow.

Maybe he just dosn't know how to smile. Like he dosn't know how to hold a pen. My hand hurts just from looking at that pic.
