Has site engagement improved since the removal of reaction notifications?

Null said the reason to remove reaction notifications was to improve the quality of the site and to drive engagement rather than drive-by karmafarming posts. Has the experiment worked, or has it inconvenienced a group of people?

Disclaimer: I don't give a fuck about reactions or is someone neg posts me. I'm a big boy and can handle criticism without crying like a faggot. I do like the reaction notifications as a way to navigate the site easily and to re-view old threads that someone has read.

All that’s missing is getting the notification someone rated your post, it’s a minimal level of engagement that doesn’t really do anything to improve engagement. I still get notified if someone quotes me or @ts me, that’s more engaging talking with someone who directly reached out to you instead of just seeing “oh, so and so rated my post from three weeks ago informative. What use to be one click has now become two and I still use reactions as a means of going back to the thread where I posted. I get that his anger stemming from his covert contract about how users use the site is why he did it but that doesn't mean you need to seek his validation on every poster who brings this up.
