Has site engagement improved since the removal of reaction notifications?

Null said the reason to remove reaction notifications was to improve the quality of the site and to drive engagement rather than drive-by karmafarming posts. Has the experiment worked, or has it inconvenienced a group of people?

Disclaimer: I don't give a fuck about reactions or is someone neg posts me. I'm a big boy and can handle criticism without crying like a faggot. I do like the reaction notifications as a way to navigate the site easily and to re-view old threads that someone has read.

He's talking about going to the reactions received page though
But that's not what he said.

We still use reactions to move around
That's wonderful, I'm happy for you.

it just takes a couple of extra unnecessary clicks
Only one, actually. Just a freakin' click!

Requiring one (1) extra click when you want to see your stickers in exchange for even a little less senseless drivel in lolcow threads is worth it. I know for a fact people were making trash posts to get reactions to "save their spot" in a thread, which absolutely is retarded, and reduces the quality for everyone else. Nobody has had their usage of the site significantly impacted for the negative. Net win.

idk, negrating seemed like an efficient deterrent against newfag tourists coming in from xitter/sharty/etc hugboxes.

No you don't

If you want to be autistic, then no, I don't, but yes, I did.
1. Click Profile
2. Click Reactions Received
:wow:
1. If it's only an extra click, why disable them in the first place?
2. it isn't as easy to see when an old thread gets bumped.
3. If it isn't affecting you personally, then why ban them/why not bring them back?

flag-waive for Null all you want, faggot, he ain't gunna fuck you.

I don't see many less useless posts, but I'm personally enjoying the change, I don't feel nearly as immediately accountable for my terrible posts. :p

The stickers were never the issue though, as with the rest of life, it's the cast offs from other places flooding our fair streets that's lowering the neighborhood standards. We should build a wall and make reddit pay for it.
