Coming from visiting the place a few times, Japan is a really good place to live if you had the money and just want to be left alone. Your perception is warped when you're staying at a hotel, big or small, because so much shit is covered for you that you don't realize is different compared to the US. And the way he photographs stuff makes me realize he probably is under 6'. That anarchist cafe he stood in front of, a lot of the doors over there are often 6', maybe a few inches higher, because a lot of places are grandfathered out of modern building standards. I think I was told at a bar there by an older businessman that 180 cm is a standard thing there because at best they would be 5'8". I'm 6' 3" and had to drop my head in quite a few non major commercial places on side streets to get in, and bumped my head a few times going up stairs at subway exits around places like Asakusa. Your range of motion is not what was factored in when these shops and restaurants were designed for. That's why he puffs his hair up in this faggy zoomer style, and wears baggy shirts to hide the fact he's much more a twig who injected some muscle onto him as opposed to being naturally athletic build who put muscle on top.

People like Hasan are the complete opposite; born into money, wealth; garnt had none of that. He was just a teenager with a USB microphone and a laptop. Unlike Conner and Joey who never had too much struggle, his family did. Listen to his second channel, he was borrowing money from his parents when he was trying to make it big when they didn't have much to spare. Now he's made sure they don't have to work anymore. Hasan would have kept that for himself.

Garnt also came from a family who had him when they were older, his parents are in their mid 70s, so he was born when they were at or near 40. He has talked about helping his family at their little restaurant and how he needed to provide for his dad so he would stop working such a demanding thing in his late 60's. That really sticks with you when you're a kid with a family business where you actually have to work and aren't just sucking the silver spoon. I just hope Garnt is able to make Sydney not become a normal midwest woman who balloons up after marriage, she's already gotten chunkier but it's not a serious issue. Yet.

I will always like Garnt. His content quality hasn't dropped one bit, and he seems like a nice guy to talk to, had a humble upbringing, all that. That and he's married, which automatically knocks a few marks off the degen meter for me.

This has probably been furthered due to the rapid decline of Connor and Chris Broad after the LA indoctrination. Joey has always been mid however, plagued by his disgusting partner and his enjoyment of lolicon, so he has never really been on my radar (although he quite possibly belongs on some sort of federal agent's radar)

At face value it could be seen as an overreaction by the fans of these creators on just a simple podcast appearence , but these bad actors (Hasan, Ludwig) have caused so much shit within pretty much any community they have gotten their hands on (which has been a lot of them may I add), that it's just depressing to see these relatively Apolitical and fun channels be bogged down and ravaged by the foul creatures that lurk within the aforementioned's communities who inevitably take over whoever they catch wind of. Communities such as Jerma's, Vinesauce, and now Trash Taste don't have a knack or abilities to uphold a neutral and Apolitical fanbase, when the LAtards find those gaps, they fill them and expand to an extreme degree.

It can feel pretty boomerish to complain about this shit, like yelling at the telecommunications regulator about your favorite show being ruined by liberal nonsense, but no doubt Hasan is far more of a plague than what can usually be expected. Garnt hasn't kissed anyone's feet in his career. The man started in 2007. He's a youtube boomer, and in terms of raw experience as a creator, there are very few still active that can match him. Let Hasan come on the show. Garnt will say some nice things, agree with him some, his parents raised him to be polite. I'll believe it's affected him when I see it bleed into his Content. He has no reason to shift his philosophy, none. He's built a media empire, has ties with organizations such as Netflix, Kadakaowa, is able to will memes into existence with nothing but a 10 minute video- in terms of power level, Hasan is actually the weaker of the two.

I also am baffled by the people in this thread trying to say that Japan's (and by extension the rest of East Asia's) system "works". Sure, I am all for their homogenous society that is proud of their heritage and (mostly) untainted by rampant foreigners but that doesn't mean I am going to pretend its not heavily flawed.

Japan has an absurdly punishing and difficult work schedule to the point where they have a term of "death by overwork" called "Karoshi". They work the longest hours under some of the most soul crushing conditions in the MODERN DEVELOPED world. While they may adopt and develop new technologies quickly, they have no actual idea how to use them efficiently to the point where they have wasted an ungodly amount of time, energy and money for meager economic gains on new tech.

They have the second highest debt to GDP ratio JUST BEHIND FUCKING VENEZUELA!! Its 266% which is over twice that of the US's 128%. Their entire economic system built of off insane debt spending is going to crash harder than most other countries when the worlds debt bubble finally pops.
