Amazon bought Twitch and I think had some sort of grand plan with ecommerce integrations and other shit but it ended up being a total money drain and cause of endless drama (they hired fucking PIs to investigate streamer's "offline" lives).

So they don't "need" Hasan or "need" Twitch to be profitable but at some point in the distant future it will probably get axed by Amazon because it's a waste of time and a huge money sink and I'm pretty sure every other livestreaming platform overtook it in popularity already?

He exclusively watches e-whores and Hasan, and doesn't watch any gaming streams despite it being the foundation of the site. So yes. On multiple occasions he's shown his personal Twitch feed is 99% whores, he's said his favorite streamer is Hasan, and he had the office sing happy birthday to Hasan while he filmed.

I heard that recently Amazon has been cracking the whip on Twitch to make more money, companies will put up wit ha subsidiary who loses money but keeps growing market share or who is losing market share but makes reliable money, Twitch is doing neither and is clearly past it's cultural peak.

Directly probably via various partnerships etc, but indirectly as in various libshits individuals working for various ngos funded usaid who donate to him . A lot probably.

Yeah I don't see Amazon keeping it more than 6-12 months and I doubt it is anywhere near profitability. They get AWS shit for super cheap so they would have to sell and likely someone like Kick would buy them up.
I don't see any other company bothering with buying them.

(but you'd have to look at the financials to actually know)

Easily predictable. Twitch (and Hasan) want that easy viewership and money from him doing a react/watch along with the Address to Congress tonight.

Twitch's modern moderation policy is basically to play the softest game of whack-a-mole possible with misbehaving major personalities, not to punish them, but to appease the critics while trying to dance around a potential adpocalypse 2: electric boogaloo.

I mean, you all had a big hint of this outcome when the ban tweet stated that this is his FIFTH BAN. What other streamers get this treatment. What other streamers get suspended multiple times without a permanent ban? What other streamers have the luxury of having their suspension lifted within 24 hours? (Whore streamers? And when I say whore, I mean whore. Not just any woman that streams. You know what I mean.) There is a League of Legends streamer that got banned for an entire month and had to sit it out because he was banning non-English speakers in his chat for not following his English-only chat rule, and shitting on Polish speakers specifically. The guy himself being Polish. It's like taking the N-word pass from a black man. It's fucked up.
