I have a tin foil hat theory that Hasan is a modern day Hal Turner of the left and him and Twitch are being paid by the FBI. Every time a fan goes full retard and says they’re going to Minecraft somewhere in his honour he just forwards that to the Feds and gets a Gucci bag in return.

It’s the only thing that could explain how him and his gaggle of retards can openly support terrorists and not get questioned let alone still be able to stream.

someone earlier in the thread said that hasan is being funded by Qatar I dont know how true it is. this could be a situation where a "political influncer" is not being paid by the us goverment I dont think its a nick funtes situation rather a tim pool situation where he is a schille for an external entity. like I said before I don't know how true the "funding by qatar" thing is true, if I had to wager he is being funded by a foreign organization.

I have wondered this as well and I think a lot of subreddits and obviously /pol/ is generally the same. I wonder about a lot of streamers actually, we know damn well they have the ability to make people unbroadcastable if they want, they did it to milo, alex jones, and many others without breaking a sweat. If these people are famous it's because powerful people are okay with them being famous, and there's enough famous people on both sides of the spectrum that i think they have a greater purpose.

I'd say I believe that with about... 40% certainty. 60% chance we just genuinely live in clown world.

I think it's clown world more than anything else. With Hasan specifically, he's a mixture of nepotism and favoritism. Nepotism helped him get famous enough to receive favoritism from Twitch's CEO so he's pretty much untouchable. Like, if we lived in a world where Elon Musk was a huge left winger and Twitch CEO wasn't, I bet Hasan would be banned from Twitch, but then streaming on Twitter with the same level of protection.

But I don't think Hasan is feeding feds information, in no small part because I think he's too incompetent to use as an asset. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at the very least on some sort of watchlist for all the stuff he posts, but I also think they know that his audience are largely a bunch of keyboard warriors who, at the end of the day, seem more focused on petty streamer drama than actually doing anything politically motivated.

I feel like there's always been people like Hasan and his followers. Like, I can think of a lot of people when I was in school who'd be a viewer of his/would spout off the "did you know America is actually really bad" rhetoric that Hasan does because they just finished a History 101 lesson that talked about Columbus or read an article saying Bin Laden received CIA training. Twitch just gives them a bigger place to gather, but I doubt the average Hasan viewer even participates in elections because they're too anxious to go outside and would rather just sit in his chat mindlessly parroting that Ethan is bad or talking about their fantasies of living in Canada because things are so much better there etc.
