Have you ever run into a left-winger you thought could be "saved"?

People can definitely hold different views at different times in their lives. Usually what changes people is older and seeing different perspectives, so it follows that for everyone who goes though these changes, there are some (possibly many) individuals who played a part in "saving" them. So, it's always possible to be that kind of person for someone.

People get exposed to a lot of contradicting information in their lives, so it can be confusing to know what the right way to live is, particularly for young people. People being welcoming to former left-wingers actually trying to change their lives can make a lot of difference.

But yeah, the "saving" I guess only reaches people who are ready for it and want it, which is a tiny minority at any given time.

I find that there are a few fundamentals that if you share with someone, the other 90% of beliefs don't matter. Focus on those. You'll be surprised how well you'll get along from someone on the opposite end of the compass if you share those fundamentals.

Other than full on tankies, who sometimes manage to hold a dissident position on an issue or two, the general shitlib riffraff are just conformists and social climbers trying to get ahead and look virtuous. As soon as it's trendy to change your view or support something else, they're after the new rabbit like a fucking greyhound.

I think some people are capable of change with the right mindset and circumstances, but most people are convinced they're absolutely right on banal bullshit, let alone politics. It requires self-reflection and the ability to admit that you're wrong to change. Now, it seems like a rare gift.
