I think they realize the product will be such utter shit that it's basically game over as soon as someone actually sees it.

But nevertheless, given that Maddie Blaustein was Meowth and that Casey had a lead role in TOME, Julie is neither "THE FIRST TRANS VOICE ACTOR IN A LEAD ROLE EVER!" or the first trans voice actor to have a lead role in an original production (as in, a show that isn't a dub or something like that).
