But nevertheless, given that Maddie Blaustein was Meowth and that Casey had a lead role in TOME, Julie is neither "THE FIRST TRANS VOICE ACTOR IN A LEAD ROLE EVER!" or the first trans voice actor to have a lead role in an original production (as in, a show that isn't a dub or something like that).

She's not the "first trans" anything.

No. The Midnight Animals (mentioned several times earlier in this thread) has a full cast of trans and drag queen voice actresses playing trans and drag queen characters. Hayden's been told about this and apparently won't acknowledge it.

Yeah, I saw it mentioned but couldn't tell if it was just trans lead characters or ones also played by trans people. Thanks for the clarification.

So it's not about trolling Black, but raising awareness about the anime. They can't really claim harrassment about informing people.

I actually had to refrain from making a "skidrow... more like skidmark" joke when I posted that tweet tbh.


Googling Hayden's Cellmate27 username brought up a Yahoo Group dedicated to the illustrious flop Goodnight Burbank.

Postings mostly consist of Hayden... using at least four different names, including that of his own GNB character.
Seems his posting-as-Shona shtick is recycled too

I don't think that show would be particularly successful on Tumblr either, in all honesty. It was similarly gimmicky and low-budget, and relied on a very mainstream Japanese idea of the trans community - that is, it being one and the same with the drag community, which Tumblr users loathe. It also had poor ratings over in Japan and got cancelled after its first season. But that it was produced and got on a major network at all still ranks it higher than Gen Zed.

Well, I was browsing the Gen Zed site, minding my own business when I noticed this shirt:

Had over 81 reviews... Pretty suspicious. So I started digging. Not only are they basically all 5 stars they are all extremely generic like this (incoming big file).

Now, nothing really seemed too bed here until I found this.

Dark Knight? What does that have to do with Gen Zed? Gen Zed has absolutely no Batman shirts to speak of. Then I found two more non sequitor shirt reviews.

Space Wolves? Cookie Monster? Also none to be seen in the Gen Zed merchandise.

My conclusion? Gen Zed is jacking reviews and uploading them as their own from Red Bubble. Classy.

It was posted upthread that these are site-wide reviews. They are the same for every print/leggings/shirt/etc. hosted on RB regardless of who sells them.
If anything, it's dishonesty on part of the site.
