I think it's more like Hayden Black making a hastily cobbled-together project to sucker money out of Tumblrites (who are known to be a gullible audience).
But the guy has a gigantic ego and the IQ of a clam, a dangerous combinaton if there ever was one, and he obviously didn't bother putting much effort in either producing a decent show or studying his intended audience. He probably thought recycling some of his jokes and adding a tranny to the mix would be enough to rake in the cash.

Here's a hint, Hayden: when you're trying to appeal to sjw, this kind of vaguely sexist dad jokes definitely isn't the kind of "humour" you should use:

As for @Kitlen , our brave Kiwi soldier, I hope they manage to film something, preferably the GenZed crew prattling on to an empty room. And I hope to Gawd they manage to ask them to sign the Meowth figurine. I'd love to see the reaction.

After seeing Dobson and Starline X Hodge's work, it's proof that an art degree doesn't guarantee quality. So I can believe it.

Hey Kiwis!
Well, I'm back from the Con! Yes, I survived the Gen Zed panel (I was so sad though, I had to miss my rocket scientists' friends panel on the Dawn Mission for GEN ZED *sheds a single tear*). But lo, I return with a full thirty minute recording of the entire panel, including the animatic and some lulzworthy moments from Hayden Black, who by God is as ugly as sin. Julie was extremely nice and I genuinely enjoyed her, she refused to sign my Meowth though. :heart-empty: She did sign a card of Gen Zed though! I'm just waiting for my phone to recharge as I used up my entire battery to record the damned thing. Some things that you miss due to the recording dying are:
1. Julie revealing she is not even practicing Jew but Wiccan
2. Hayden Black's lulzworthy anger at me asking him about why there was so much aggressive commentary on his show.
3. Me asking Julie to sign my Meowth

P.S. I was one of two people who actually came to the panel, the rest were friends of the cast that came out from behind the doors.

Will have the video up soon!

P.S.S. Just found out a friend got engaged so I may not be back for a while, but I promise to have the video up by tonight.

It was actually pretty bearable, I'd give it a three or a four. Still, the animatic got very few laughs, that part was kind of a 7.

Ah, looks like my prediction that they'd be happy to sign the Meowth figure was a bit off-base.

Good to hear that Julie seems to be a nice person, though. I mean, my impression of the show based solely on the 2-minute trailer is that it's like a middling Undergrads or Mission Hill clone except with a trans character as the protagonist to set it apart, but I certainly have nothing personal against the actors who are really just doing their job.

And, who knows, maybe the trailer is just misleadingly weak and I'll end up enjoying the final production. I don't think it's too likely, but if Gen Zed does get made and it shows up somewhere I can watch it (for free, I'm not paying to watch it on Amazon or any other PPV service), I'll at least give it a fair shot.

That's was way more than expected, @Kitlen ! Awesome job, can't wait to see the video!

Only two people, huh? If the people involved weren't such assholes to people asking stuff, I'd feel bad for them.
