Having watched all four now. It had potential that Viz just shat up. To the point it sometimes feels like different writers tard wrangle her. Like the snake dude Sir Pentulous or whatever. I actually liked his mannerisms and how genuine it felt at least to me when he came back around when Charlie accepted him. Was very in line too with the original premise that no one is beyond saving or redemption.

The Val episode is also okay. Angel's always been portrayed in the fandom and in the show as super cocky so to see him get slapped around and his voice actor portraying that fear and the abuse was... actually decent.

It just feels like the key elements that made this show popular with people are still there but Viz ruins it with sex jokes and too many f-bombs and curses. One of those things when everyone curses no one does. Right now its pretty mediocre and also for someone who fired the original VA for Broadway actors... the songs suck. There's too many of them and a lot of them do not really have a good... flow. ITs hard to explain. For example the Helluva Boss songs I did not mind and regardless of me not liking some they at least fit. House of Asmodeus was pretty good and put both actors singing to good work. Cotton Candy was just a Ke$ha song essentially and it does its thing. Something about the songs in the show proper though just don't seem to flow as nicely or fit as much. I just can't put my finger on why though.

I remember when Matt mundane got exposed for flagging the videos of his critics (a big no no in the youtuber community, the lowest of bitch moves) and he immediately started how he is depressed and suicidal. Mr Metokur said that it was like any old cliche and sounds about right
One of the greatest streams in Internet history btw. It was what got me to start lurking the Farms.

I'm a bit late but I just got around to watching the first four episodes of the series, as far as what I think; I feel like a lot of my thoughts mirror what others have said here. Its just, decent at best; it doesn't try anything to make it stand out. The most that is making it stand out are all the controversies surrounding it and Viv who can't shut her fucking mouth and stop being a terminally online fujo who can't take any criticism. Pentious and the eggs are by far the best characters, imo. I loved mostly every scene with them and watching whatever they got into, episode 3 was probably my favorite for this reason alone. Everything else just, kinda felt ok. I'm not big on musicals as a whole so having a song like every two felt like it was dragging on a bit for me at times. One thing that really bothers me is the voice acting, the pilot had way better voice acting than the actual series does. Angel Dust and Alastor are noticeable to me and I think they did way better in the pilot than in the series.

There was some potential here with the show(s), I really enjoy the world and a lot of the character designs but I feel like a lot of that is squandered because Viv is a hack writer and doesn't know how to write a consistent show besides endless "hahaha funny swearing and sex jokes". I'm curious if it will even get a season 2, or if its just going to have a single season then die after that. Regardless, it will be remembered for all the negative stigma surrounding it.

Remember if any of you go to a con where vizzie is present bring deodorant as all fujos have an unholy pungent odor that rivals smash players

I would also like to add that a christian author (John Milton) did a better job making lucifer seem sympathetic than all the techni color, glittered bombed faggotry of this bezos backed zoomer rot

Hell, a single classical picture was able to make him sympathetic while still maintaining the core of who he is.

A handsome angel holding back tears for being abandoned and yet you see a lot of resentment behind those eyes. You feel for him and yet know why this happened to him.

Finally got around to watching it.

I will say that this is "Missed Opportunities" the show. Sooooo many. I mean, I thought they were going to go with "biblically accurate" angels, like they did at the very beginning, but that got dropped for more Imp-jester style.

All in all, it just feels so high school humor to me. Like all those <x> Movies that came out after Scary Movie.

I've been avoiding spoilers and leaks and the like and now finally watched the first episode.

I have several issues with it and am disappointed immensely at the portrayal of Adam, angels, and heaven, but I did like the songs. And in the end I still like having a show with an art style that isn't cal arts and what so many western cartoons have degenerated into over the past 15 years. I did like the self aware joke Angel made about them being able to make a ton of money if they made a porno of him and Alastor, that was at least funny. Most of the new voices I didn't care for compared to the pilot but that was the same with Stolas and eventually his main voice grew on me so we'll see.

Got done watching episode 4, and I genuinely cannot see what people see in the HuskerDust ship. Angel's a hedonistic fag who goes after every man he sees either for business or to drown himself in sorrow, and Husker is just some furfag who doesn't want to deal with anyone else's shit, but somehow this makes him the prine candidate to being Angel's special someone?
It feels so god damn forced, why should Husker be the one to get into Angel's pants, there was no chemistry between them for the first 3 episodes and now there is just because Charlie told him to and we found out he sold himself to Alastor?

Watched episode 3 and 4.
Alastor is great oo, with the eggs as well.

I sincerely hope they just get to drinking buddies level, but the fujos and shippers might win this one. Sadly.

It is hard to find some good jokes among the cringe. One that I did find humorous was the shark demons easily found Angel and Husk because the two characters were singing out in the open.

Since i didnt talk here yet, i'll just ramble my own thoughts on episode 3 and why it seems to be universally disliked

>episode 3 sucks cause vagie arc was rushed and sudden and she's lame

1-Husk calling out the whole cast is bizarre because neither he nor us know enough about them. Saying Vaggie "hates herself" was really confusing to me cause i did NOT get that vibe, and it comes across as very forced attempt to pretend she has ""depth"" (depression) all of sudden.

2-Vaggie insisting that "she is nothing if she is not protecting Charlie" is shit. It's like vivzie doesnt know how to write a lesbian character beyond the tumblr bait "ditzy optimistic femme X agressive protective butch" except this is the kind of thing you'd see in deep fanon flanderization and not a canon personality. Vagie and Charlie are literally those useless handholding lesbians you see in the background of every yaoi fanfics to show they're not "threats". What i mean is: This is a conflict that only exists in vagina's head and no one asked for it.

3-Call me a yurifag but this episode makes Charlie kinda of a shitty girlfriend. She is too coward to exert authority so she dumps it on vagie but then says she's going too far with the violence except it worked because of course it worked (why is this a big deal, it's apparently apocalypse 24/7 out there) and then it's vagie who apologizes wtf???

4-They destroy the mistery of who killed the angels wow what was even the point. Camila is also portrayed like vagie as "someone who would do anything to protect their loved ones" which makes me think Vivzie doesnt know how to write a likable woman beyond making them "save those they love". I also dont care for camila cause she's introduced now with another plot thread.

Every episode so far introduces a new plot thread too. Remove the Egg bois and this episode is straight up BAD.

Not to mention, Episode 3 probably has the worst songs so far with Respectless being forced into it with a very awkward transition, the evil girl's verses are fine but Camila's singing sucks, which extends to the next song which is forgettable trash.

Friendly reminder that Latinos and blacks, including black Americans, are hating Hazbin hotel and Amazon directly losing subscribers among non-whites over the Hazbin hotel cartoon for its LGBT and satanic themes, and I find it hilarious. Just a small reminder, only white people tolerate LGBT shit in large numbers. Say what you want about Tim Pool. He even knows Hazbin hotel will be hated among people of color.

Honestly, Hazbin Hotel is becoming more like Helluva Boss where the more I think about it, the more shitty it becomes to me. Maybe it's my fault for overanalyzing everything, but I can't help it. I won't discuss all the things now that I think are bad, but I will bring up some of the most egregious and major flaws.

Like Charlie. Oh my God, Charlie. I didn't think much of her in the pilot, but I wish that version of her was here instead of what we got. She doesn't feel like a main character. She's just...there most of the time, being a caricature of what she was supposed to be. You get the first episode somewhat focused on her, and that's it. Maybe, she'll get some in episode 5 since her dad will be coming to the hotel, but I feel she'll just get drowned out by the other male characters.

And she is a major pushover. I thought she was one in the pilot, but it's so much worse in the actual show. At least pilot Charlie had some backbone. She was confident when she said that Angel Dust was their first patron. She took Katie's pen and got into a physical fight with her on air. She actually commanded Alastor to help her with her project and refused making a deal with him. She did all this, without even going into her demon form. I'm not asking for her to be a fucking badass. She can be naive. But I don't expect her to be a baby that needs to be coddled when the tiniest bits of problems happens. She's the fucking Princess of Hell. Let her have some confidence in her project; not constantly worrying that she's in over her head.

Oh, also her redesign is inferior to her pilot design. Yes, add more red to a character where the background is almost constantly red. Very smart.
As shitty as her redesign was, I distinctly remember being slightly excited for it, because it looked much more jagged and confident, and I always got the feeling that pilot Charlie's naivete and uwu kindess was gonna get pretty grating later on.
Turns out the reason the design doesn't even remotely resemble a nervous princess of hell who's too dumb to use her authority was always just shitty design choice and Viv's fetish for the color red almost being as strong as her fetish for gay boy rape, and Charlie's naive nature was just gonna be amplified ten fold.
Like, this version of Charlie wouldn't have even gotten in a fight with Katie Killjoy, she'd just sit there and listen to Brandon Rogers talk in a slightly higher voice than usual.
