Saw it when walking through my local mall and past the Hot Topic there. Was pretty surprised to see an Alastor t-shirt just out in the open behind the window of the shop. I mean, that's at least one thing I had a feeling was gonna happen once the pilot blew up.
It definitely stopped catching on once social media became mainstream and goth and goth-adjacent types didn't need to look around IRL for kindred spirits. And even though it's making fun of a serial killer/framing him as a lost cause, younger people these days really hate anything that portrays someone violent and disgusting as anything other than a villain who gets thrown off a cliff at the end of the movie.
I guess it was just a matter of time for Hazbin Hotel to replace Happy Tree Friends... or something?
I actually won an Alastor plushie out of a claw machine this summer. He seems to be one of the Hazbin characters with the most available merch (presumably he appeals to the Onceler/Slenderman tumblr fangirls?)
On the one hand, yeah. It kinda feels like Viv made him to be the show's standout character, especially since his creation dates back to 2011 during the Zoophobia days. Then again, half the cast is "Alastors", so I really can't say how or why Alastor has somewhat managed to retain his relevancy. Maybe it's just another one of those cases where it's just plain forced.
Was it an official one or a bootleg? Cause after the bootleg Skibidi Toilet plushies nothing surprises me anymore.
I gave it to my girlfriend, I'll have to take a photo of it next time I'm at her place. It seemed real/had tags in English/etc. Although boardwalk arcade prize plushies generally aren't known for their legitimacy.
I'm leaning more towards bootleg based on the proportions and missing details....I actually have no idea if the plushie was real or not

Funny enough, I’ve never seen HTF apparel sold at Hot Topic. Perhaps I wasn’t paying attention.
Except only the properties I would feel uncomfortable admitting to admire, even more so putting on myself.
In my defence, I practice witch hunting and Hot Topic is like a sanctuary for witches. Sometimes I spot zombies there with smelly clothes, grimy skin and unwashed hair, as well as vampires with pale faces and smokey eyes. I once saw a werewolf there too, but it was most likely a guy in a fursuit.
Funnily enough, the first thing that came to mind when I heard that leaked song was "Gravity Hurts" by Cryoshell, more specifically the version sung by Tine Midtgaard.
Or Cryoshell were captured by Adam to make Lute lip sync to their songs and the brave Toas have to go on adventure to free the band. Again.
