Angel Dust's family was never mentioned once, the only time we do see someone related to him was Molly, a background artist drew Molly in the group of people Unsaint Peter fell on in the crowd. It's sad a Background Artist cares for a character you didn't care about.

Aside from Molly, Arackniss had a quick cameo during one quick scene.

Well, shit, I thought Viv canonizing fanart was a coincidental exaggeration, but then I’ve looked through some Helluva Boss themed fanart, including the period between the premiere of the pilot in November 2019 and the first episode in October 2020. Some visual character traits, like young Blitz having dotted teeth resembling braces, were made way long before that design was implemented in the episodes. This is creepy…

It also looks like that most of the mentioned fanart-turned-canon depictions are done by an artist called TeaTheKook, who doesn’t seem to officially work on the show.

How many issues in this franchise would get fixed if all the characters magically turned straight?

No Stolas/Stella drama, everytime they both get mad they would resolve it through sex, Stolas and Blitz would unironically be better as colleagues/friends who would both gain something from the grimoire than the gay shit we have now, no more sexual exploitation of Angel Dust as he would be dating Vaggie as it was originally planned by Viv herself (btw I think they both look good together, they share chemistry that does not exist with Charlie and Vaggie) and Charlie would have been taken seriously by Katie Killjoy.

I feel it's a bit too broad to say indie animation was killed by one person or one show. The whole point behind indie animation is that it's all self-funded and self-published. If anything, the "indie animation" scene that Hazbin started is kind of a 2nd industry in of itself. Hypothetically, anyone could make their own show outside of the influence of this sphere and it would still be considered "indie."

It's like those people who lump all indie games into the same category as pretentious slop like Gone Home or Depression Quest.

Even with the gay stuff, it still was fine enough given Season 1 of Helluva Boss is good while Hazbin is functional.

If every character was made straight, it wouldn't really magically make things better, like instead it would just be an animated CW drama.

It all comes down to just poor writing at the end of the day
