I'm pretty sure Satan is not the hero of that story. If I had to think of a sympathetic portrayal of Satan, my first thought would be Paradise Lost rather than the Divine Comedy.
Could you link us to the thread? I wouldn’t mind reading a few tweets regarding that.I saw a thread on twitter that was sympathetic to Octavia, even from fans and there is a point that really goes to Stolas being a bad father, even in his attempts to be good.
Which is that Stolas essentially sheltered Octavia from him being a closeted gay man and how he didn't like Stella, so yeah that scene where she looks at him about to kill himself is even worse since she actually did think that her parents loved each other.
Father of the year everyone

Satan in Paradise Lost is in no way sympathetic. If you read his dialogue he is basically portrayed like a egoistical crackhead. If I had to think of a sympathetic portrayal of Satan, my first thought would be Paradise Lost rather than the Divine Comedy.
How about that Clown, John Wayne Gacy?I kinda want to Vivify RL Serial Killers, give me a SK to do.
Planning on it first might base it off of a monstrous version of Fizz since he's a clown in Hell. How about that Clown, John Wayne Gacy?
I guess she dropped the ball, and has no idea what to do. I'm thinking it's her team that are trying to do stuff in hell, while she oversees and does the general stuff. Just a hunch, really.I am only watching this from the sidelines and not the show itself, but I feel like Viv missed a trick with the Angels. Archangels are the lowest rank and the only ones that appear to be vaguely human. The higher up the tier of the Angelic host you go, the more inhuman and Lovecraftian they get. The highest rank, Seraphim, are literally described as nothing but eyes and wings that seem to physically rip you apart with their gaze.
She could have done alot with that.
Winner winner chicken dinner (no pun intended, lol). Its a common sentiment to the people who hate Stolas also point out his lack of parenting. He's extremely neglectful and the narrative only brings up he's a father when he wants to be seen as a normal person. Any other day it's just him, him and him and nobody else but him. The Courtroom scene was just a repeat of Heaven's Courtroom. Nothing of value was done there other than reward Stolas for sending him with his Fucktoy. (Yes, I refer to Blitz as that because its what Stolas sees him as.), it's like rewarding a drug addict with more drugs for being a drug addict.
The punishment down there is the same as Heaven, with the threat of sending you to Hell if you ever misbehaved, and I don't even think that's a threat because it's the same down there as it is up in Heaven.
Anyway, the internet is already full of "adultescents" who are childless, and I would wager think a lot about of themselves in first place. You know? "ME, ME, ME, ME, ME!", so they probably think it's not a big deal with "sadman Stool's Ass" to just treat Octavia as a shield, maybe instead saying "no, it's Stella who does that!", while justifying most of his actions. He's completely relatable, while he deserves a wake-up call at the very, very least.
Gonna admit, I almost mistook John Milton's Paradise Lost (and its sequel, Paradise Regained) to John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress (Both part one and part two, first where Christian does it without his family, and second where his wife Christina and children go afterwards). Both are quite different, but I like the latter on how it is a commoner traversing through troubles until he finally reaches Heaven.Satan in Paradise Lost is in no way sympathetic. Spoiler alert every male character in the story would be gay, bisexual or whatever the fuck it's called these days. What about a Paradise Lost adaptation developed by VivziePop?

Knowing her habits, she would try to make Luci and Lilith super put upon in Eden, end up making them complete spoiled brats that couldn’t have their way because of actual legitimate reasons, try to make Adam evil, but end up making him make sense. Then when L&L get what they want and leave Heaven and Eden, while Adam just kinda chills and loves his wife, L&L go to ‘free’ Eve, and then when everything goes down like a lead millstone thrown into a river, refuse to take any responsibility for ruining everything. Also, Gabe’s a Twink for some reason, Uriel is the Dude from big Lewboski, Raphael is just kinda there or gets turned into a Ninja Turtle, and Michael is super mean, and strict, and won’t let anyone have any fun and is totes another bad guy. Also only about 1/4 of the season actually deals with Paradise Lost, the rest of the time focuses on these super cool OCs (Doughnut Steel!)What about a Paradise Lost adaptation developed by VivziePop?

Thanks to Lucifer's "idea" they are free. Like Heaven is a slave place by that logic if you think of it."BOTH HEAVEN AND HELL ARE THE SAME!!! ONLY HELL YOU GET FREEDOM TO DO WHAT YOU WANT!"
With how life in Heaven is shown in the S2 E2 leaked episode, I don't blame Pentious for trying to blow his brains out at the end of his and Emily's song even if his reason is that he believes he'll never see the characters at the Hotel again. Thanks to Lucifer's "idea" they are free. Isn't this also actually Biblically accurate? I thought that Satan wasn't supposed to only be the king of hell - he was also the first sinner to be sent there.interesting to see the person punished the most in Hell be the Fallen Angel
