I love how I can't tell if kiwifarms "love'' for stella is facetious or serious.

On the one hand secretly one of the most based characters on this train wreck of a show. On the other is just as much a pos as everyone else and we'll the whole...owl demon thing.

Stella was also betrayed by Stolas by him being a degenerate faggot. No matter how loveless their marriage was, he still cheated on her. And every action to completely remove him from their daughter's life are 110% justified.

Since Vivzie does not have mental capacity to understand normal straight relationships, or even arranged marriages, she is portrayed as a cartoonishly over the top evil person.

It's not even that, Vivzie just needed cheap ways to make Stolas seen as sympathetic since he was more morally fucked up in the first season.

Season 1 was a comedy so Stella's actions were really comedic and the most earnest stuff she did (that wasn't played for laughs) was take Octavia away for the weekend, tell Stolas to check on their daughter in a flashback, and hire Striker (that last one is a maybe since it was also played comedically).

Not even just that, but he didn't even have the decency to have some discretion about it. It was pretty common for noble marriages to be loveless, for the purpose of an heir, and for the spouses to fool around, but Stolas went out of his way to publicly humiliate her.

He might not care what people think of him, but she obvious does.

I now think of Stolas as the Nick Rekieta of this show.

Glad I made it all the way through the thread, I am really annoyed with how they're making all the characters so safe and boring; especially Loona. She's not even the same character anymore but is still my favorite.

Stolas is now just awful and deserves every bit of shit he gets. Stella is a horrible person and I hate her but she still didn't deserve to be cheated on and publicly humiliated by her faggot husband beclowning himself for a literal clown.

I'm extremely pissed that the show has just turned into fag drama circle jerking; I get enough of that in real life. I don't know if I do or don't want an abortion plot next season with Millie. The complete inability of Vivzie to handle delicate subjects will be simultaneously cringe and hilarious. I just don't know if it will be funny to watch or too painful to.

All of Stolas's problems are of his own creation, all of Stella's problems are because Stolas is gay and can't control himself. It's weird how they attempt to paint her as the abuser, and him as the victim when it's the other way around. It's like the show is a psy-op to demoralize women.

If you want to make Stolas sympathetic just make him realize that he fucked over his family to rape Blitzo, and then have him have to live with both as he tries to atone for both crimes.

Probably both. Stella is an unintentionally sympathetic character. She was forced into an arranged marriage with a gay man that would never love her to birth a precautionary heir for him. She seemingly has no powers or status; only being the wife or sister to more powerful men. Her own brother pretty much says that the only good thing about her is that she's pretty.

But unlike most of the characters who have their own tragedies, she doesn't cry or whine about it. She doesn't want your pity or sympathy. She just does her own thing, and doesn't give two shits on how others perceive her.

I feel like this happens a lot with most western shows/media; they try to make the villains terrible and write them as in a way to make viewers hate them, especially in shows like Helluva which push the gay shit. Kind of like Homelander, who was supposed to be someone you were meant to hate but ended up becoming the fan favorite character of The Boys, maybe that isn't a 1 for 1 comparison, but its what comes to mind. Stella, Striker and Octavia are the only three remotely interesting characters to me, everyone else is flat (loona, millie etc.), insufferable (stolas) or just dont care for. The show had so many opprotunities to flesh them out more and instead focused on the fag melodrama.
