Do you believe that this series will turn to shit?

It gets even worse because Stella and Stolas are supposed to hate each other, yet Stolas didn't bother to just do ways to get Stella impregnated without having sex with her. Like I'm pretty sure given how high status Stolas is, he would be able to do shit like this, hell these demons are magical so they could even do stuff like that, but nope.

Speaking of "Tell, don't show" that's a little gripe I have with how they handled Alastor in Hazbin too. In the show, we just hear that oh, he was famous for his radio show, but we have no idea what it sounded like or what he even did in any flashbacks besides broadcasting screams. We never see him doing anything remotely involved with radio until that one moment in Stayed Gone. At least Pilot Alastor had his microphone with the laugh track and radio filter and he was putting on an actual 1930s-ish Transatlantic "broadcaster" voice.

Also in Hell's Greatest Dad "Who makes you chuckle with an old-timey pun? Your executive producer!"- sure, Pilot Alastor cracked a few jokes, but when has he ever told a joke or said an old-timey pun in the show? He's supposed to be a rascal, what happened to that? (Also Ed Bosco would have absolutely killed in the show, I'm still salty about that. We could have had this.

Stella responds to negativity with yelling and aggressiveness, while Stolas responds to it with crying and drawing into himself. Most people are going to feel more sympathy towards someone who is "sad" instead of someone who is "angry".

Similar thing happened in Full Moon, with Blitzø yelling at Stolas while Stolas was walking away from him. Blitzø is not acting in the most healthiest of ways, but you can't deny that this is from holding in his own feelings for so long. You can't deny that Blitzø is dealing with his own pain here, and Stolas is just not listening to this.

This is a main issue that Stolas has, but the show doesn't acknowledge, that's Stolas is a terrible listener. He either doesn't notice or blatantly ignores the obvious issues around him until it blows up to the worst of circumstances. For fuck's sake, when his own daughter said she would rather kill herself than go to a theme park, he's like "Okay then, let's go. And let me bring along the man I am currently having an affair with as well." There isn't some hidden underlying message of what Octavia's saying; she made it very clear that she doesn't want to go. Why should I think he acted any different towards Stella when he treats his daughter, the one person that he cares for and loves the most like this?

It doesn't help Stolas pretty much handles his emotions with the complexity of a teenage girl and Helluva Boss' (and Hazbin Hotel's by extension) main demographic are teenage girls and childish women who will relate to the crying manbaby more than someone who expresses their emotions through anger.

Nor does it help Vivzie bothers to acknowledge any other perspectives beyond throwing a tiny bone saying that Stolas is not aware of how he comes across while the series continuously awards him.

Him facing consequences in Mastermind means shit since he's an immortal being who will get his powers back in his lifetime, and its framed as a selfless act of love. Octavia cutting ties with him too means nothing since let's be real, she's going to fucking come back for him and be fine with his affair, like otherwise that whole scene where Bltizo refuses to kill the gay family would be pointless since it is foreshadowing with the subtelty of an anchor.

I don't think its possible to use magic to impregnate someone, or else you KNOW vivzie would already canonized male pregnancy and confirm stolas birthed Octavia.

edit: Yall are rating me islamic cause ya know it's true. It's more likely that Vivzie never thought about but if she wants to end Helluva Boss with Blitzo and Stolas getting their own baby (possible) she will find a way to impregnate Stolas.

I'm just saying even with grounded methods in the real world they didn't even need to have sex.

But Vivzie loves writing about sex as much as she loves writing swear words in her script.

Stolas is a manipulator, but when he does it it's (supposed to be) cute.

Show! Alastor feels like some teenager trying to appeal to their friends that their demon oc is hip with the kids.

Screw whoever thought it was a good idea to have him say “that’s the tea”.

I don’t think Al would ever say shit like that, only time I can see it is when he’s confused about someone said that to him or he overheard it.

I remember not liking Al’s voice during the pilot days bc it was a bit annoying but god now I want that back

My hot take is I feel both versions of Alastor are just carried by hype moments and aura. I like the Pilot version more for his voice, but Show Alastor being a prideful jackass who is a big fish in a small pond only to be in a bigger pond I like a little more though I don't count on Viv delivering on him.

Pilot Alastor is just easy to imagine a different character since he didn't do much except be intimidating, wacky, and beat up Pentious who is still a jobber. But the little he had simply made it easy to imagine more. I feel all the fascination would've felt different if there wasn't a 5 year gap between the pilot and actual show.

Show Alastor is just having more content on a character that really didn't have much to them. Honestly the biggest surprise is how Viv let him be a scumbag to Husk which I thought she would've taken all the edge off this character. Though she is going to make him Demon Dexter Morgan who just kills evil people since almost everyone and their mom who dabbles into OCs tries to think the "serial killer" killer is such a novel and original concept.

It just goes to show that being given crumbs of something can allow imaginations to run wild while getting the whole package removes the mystery.

I hope the show commits to at least making Rosie genuinely evil without making Alastor sympathetic. Sure she literally owns him but he's the serial killer who willingly sold himself for more power.

This is my take, having Alastor be totally like the pilot where he can kick just about every single character's ass without effort would have gotten old extremely fast, at least him being a big fish in a small pond and slowly going nuts over realizing he's not some invulnerable badass could lead to a good arc, unfortunately Viv forgot to add in the beginning of that arc and show him actually manage to easily take on other powerful Sinners, so he just looks like a joke.

I'm surprised his leaked flashback had him kill an intoxicated man who laughed off bumping into him and spilling his drink on him, so Viv didn't go fully into the whole "He only kills evil people!" retardation, but it wouldn't surprise me if Viv confirms in a tweet that the guy was racist or something or the scene gets changed last minute to make him look more of scumbag.

I'll eat a hat if Viv doesn't end up giving Alastor a super sympathetic backstory that fully lays blame on him being a serial killer on an abusive father.

I know that we already know this would never happen, but in a world full of “lawful evil serial killer with a mOrAl cOdE” in media now, I would absolutely love it if they just made Alastor a completely irredeemable, evil bastard with no other agenda. That would actually be refreshing for once.

Yeah like the most Alastor does is clown on Vox, beat up random jobbers, and stand next to someone who scares the local citizens.

I feel like maybe the Vox thing should've had more consequences of at least make him a big deal since the idea of him being this prideful douchebag who is not as invulnerable as he thinks he is was actually a good idea and I like the setup for it except for not showing enough feats.

At least Viv allowed him to hurt and abuse Husk which is more than I thought she'd give.

Yeah, like the only small bit of faith I have is given Viv's love of flattery, she probably will keep him more evil since she does love the fluff articles about how great of a villain he is, but as we all know I can be wrong. It helps that he has no prominent yaoi ships that she'd be able to put in the show given Vox, Lucifer, and Husk are characters she ships with other people.

If only, but Dexter Morgan has to be the biggest crime to writing serial killer characters

From what a leak mentioned it was only racist evil people he killed. So it was totally justified and he did nuffin wrong.

I fucking hate the fact that Viv has made not one, but two shows set in Hell, and has both times refused to even let one of the protagonists be remotely evil. Of course the serial killer character couldn't be someone like Bundy, or Dahmer, or Gracy. Killing for sexual pleasure or even just the sheer thrill of killing someone, no, he has to only kill bad people, and not just bad people but evil one-dimensional racists. Because god forbid one main character in shows set in Hell not end up being secretly noble, or have an overly sympathetic backstory, or any other character trait that makes their sins in life or their actions in Hell not be portrayed as simply utterly depraved, wayward, or evil.

Don't worry! All these corpses that Alastor kept lying around in his house in the middle of a swamp so he could use their body parts and blood for satanic rituals belong to racists! SO IT'S OKAY!

If true, I wonder how many people will consider Alastor's character ruined beyond repair the moment his victims are said to 100% deserved it, the fangirls will of course eat the slop up, but I know that everyone else will absolutely hate it.

Is this really leak or a theory? Cause if this leak ends up true then literally no one will like this. Not even hazbin fans would like this cause it's total proof the show is fake edgy. Did anyone ever see an Alastor fan say "Man i love alastor but i really wish he would be sanitized and progressive"?

But in this case Vivzie is saying "if you kill racists you will go to hell" so this wouldn't be the epic chud ownage she thinks it would be...

I have to admit I do like the fact that he's (supposedly) asexual but it should have some......meaning when it comes to his character if Vivzie won't stop using him as representation. Currently in the show it just means he's not being a whore, but I'd love to see how him being (supposedly) so adverse to sexuality works into his impulses.
