It's both funny and sad that the show was initially praised for its animation when Vizzy made that pilot, but now that the official trailer has come out, it's so inferior to what came before.
Not even the folks on Twitt- oh, right... X is happy about the results, and that was the audience Vizzypop was pandering to, and now it's backfiring.

When even these types are finding significant problems in the animation, it raises questions on how bad the writing will be.

After that trailer I'm not really sure I could say I'm excited for the release of Hazbin. I'll definitely give it a watch but my expectations of it being good have been slowly eroded away after what HB turned into. Whatever nuanced plot Viv was going to make with Heaven and Hell is probably going to deliver the most surface level shit of "Heaven is le epic bad and Heck is heckin' good XD" . I know I'm asking way too much of a former tumblr woman but still I had hope.

The animation team really half-assed it with being consistence. You got Vaggie vanishing at 0:03-0:04 while Alastor and Angel changing their positions at 0:12-0:13. And they didn't even try with drawing Charlie at a distance since the movement looks like it's straight out the Atari 2600.

Other comments on the clip pointed out how they got Disney Princess vibes, which I got as well. The song just made me think of "Part of Your World" or a piece from Frozen.

With the trailer I think the voice for Charlie is pretty fine, but Angel is one that I'd really need to get used too.

My main concern though for this show is if it derails too far from its premise like Helluva where it focuses on something not promised by the pilot.

I think it will be alright...

The bar here seems to bounce from it being the next Tolkien to being utter shit.

I think it will be watchable. A solid 6-7 out of ten for its target audience. People always hype themselves up way to hard on both ends. I watched some of helluva a boss before deciding it forced drama a little to hard for my tastes. I imagine this will be the same with a different cast.

Naw, dude. I had to mute it to get through. Awkward singing especially hurts me to watch. Come to think of it I had to mute Charlie's song in the pilot to get through it, too. Didn't have to with the Radio Demon's, though. Huh.

I have to agree with a lot of these posts. The still shots of animation are fine, but once the camera starts moving, oh boy, does the quality take a downward deep dive. I'm going to take a wild guess and say the communication between the storyboard artists and animators are shit, especially if this part of the animation was done by the cheaper studio Bento Box usually outsources to.
