Yknow, does Helluva and Hazbin even have any interesting takes on Christian Mythology besides surface level shit like The 7 Deadly Sins? (And I guess that abhorrent take on turning Beezlebub into some Lava Lamp Wolf lookin ass bitch)

So, in your opinion, what are the chances of Hazbin becoming the next MLP:FiM right now? Just curious, despite everything I've said.
No I don't think so. MLP worked for two reasons: character model simplicity, and no shading.

People will redraw things with simple models and color palettes over and over again in the furry fandom. Because it's easy and most furries are shit at art. What separates good artists from bad ones isn't the shape of the subject or anatomy, it's the usage of transitions of colors through shading and shadows to create depth. MLP has minimal amounts of that. See below
Twilight_sparkle_alicorn_by_kysss_by_kysss90-d5v7bhe.png

The only shading is a slight solid darkening of color on the legs in the background. Instead of shading to separate the layers of feathers on the wings solid lines are used as well. You really only need 3 colors to create the base pony. Solid body color, outline color slightly darker and background limb color even more dark. Repeat that approach ad nousium with every color to exist, and you have the brony fandom.

Edit:The eyes are shaded, but most people just made them with sclera and irises of a single color.

One other thing i noticed is this show really aint edgy as it thinks anymore. Blitzo in the pilot jokes about not trying to be offensive only to call Moxie retarded and mocks a child burial but in Western energy he unironically refuses to say retarded ("cant say that word anymore") and holds back to not shoot a demon child. Blitzo says multiple times how "It's HELL so no one cares!" but that's not true anymore is it? There are objectively good and bad characters now.
That explains why Hazbin Hotel Hell actually looks cool and fun instead of being a torturous eternity of eternal punishment.

All this talk about how "Hell in Hazbin/Helluva doesn't really seem that bad, it's just Earth but Red" really reminds me of the setting behind Grim Fandango.

You play in the world of The Land of the Dead, where long ago if you died and ended up here, you would have to find your way to the final destination to decide where your fate should end up in, either in Hell or the great beyond. But a bunch of business opportunists decided that living in The Land of the Dead really isn't that bad, so they built their own society and businesses in this place where skeletal people and other creatures can stick around and get jobs and whatever.
It feels like HH/HB is exactly that, but for whatever reason they're really trying to sell it to you that Hell really is this bad and evil place full of the damned and banished, but at worst it's just filled with debauchery and open murders. Other than that, it really seems functional for the most part and you could probably always move further out from everyone if the rings of hell aren't stopping you.

I doubt it since with MLP there was extra autism where bronies tried hard to look like enlightened male feminists yet were fragile enough in their masculinity that they needed to point out how the show referenced star trek or something. MLP being a children's cartoon based on a girl's toyline really kicked it into high gear autism.

Hazbin is more likely to be another tumblr/twitter show or something along those lines.

World building will be shattered whenever its convenient for the plot (or joke) just like RWBY. This is fucking hell but somehow both mafia and police with jails coexist naturally. There are lawyers who can enforce contracts into one of the seven sins but they can be killed with no consequences.
I don't expect either Helluva or Hazbin to have scenes showing the politics or economics of this realm, but I would at least like some idea of how it operates. From what viewers have only gathered, from the show and what was revealed through social media, is that Hell is sort of a monarchy with Lucifer at the top, Charlie is the heir apparent, followed by the other Sin demons, and then the Ars Goetia royalty. However, the whole place looks to be anarchistic as Alastor and the other demons who were once human fight for territory in the Pride Ring, the uppermost one where both the hotel and I.M.P. are located. And then you have low class demons like Crimson who attempted to gain control over Asmodeus' business, showing that the higher class demons may not be that powerful (especially if it's confirmed that Alastor is stronger than Lucifer).
There are gas stations and you can get away with blowing them. I still dont know if Blitzo's job is illegal or not.
While I think Blitzo's job is legal, we do not have a idea of how well his business is thriving. Sure we had some episodes showing the various jobs they went on but that's it. The "Spring Broken" episode showed he had to bet his parking spot with Verosika (I'm guessing he is also renting out the office) and Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie have been seen living in apartments that are not high-end.

I have to add one thing that really made me think about one little detail in Vivzie's universe. In Grim Fandango it is established that the point of Land of the Dead is to be some sort of purgatory in which willing can take the arduous four year journey to redeem their right to release their soul into the great beyond or get fucked and get sent to hell if they try to cheat their way in, but there is also a third way, if you fumble it and find a way to die while in the Land of the Dead your soul is banished, what exactly will happen to you is not clear, but this fate is somehow worse than going to hell, this got me thinking, what exactly are repercussions for dying in Vivzie's version of hell? If you had someone who clearly didn't like the idea of living in the underworld and they decide to kill themselves, what will happen to them? Do they respawn back, get reincarnated in the world of the living as a lower species than human ( like in buddhism ) or get sent in another part of hell, because neither of these options work as punishment and unless I'm forgetting something it was never mentioned what exactly does happen to all those people who get murdered in constant outbursts of violence.

Vivzie mentioned in a stream that when demons die they get turned into background items. Like cups, tables, furniture things. I can't find which stream because it's been years, but that seems to be the case.

We've already established that Vivzie likes to pre-emptively add/fix things in her stories like JK Rowling (before she went mad), but this idea is just...

The idea of HH or HB ever having a pop-cultural footprint or impact THAT huge is the funniest thing I've heard all month.
Granted, back in 2019 the "Cartoon the Internet's obssessed with" chair was vacant. And it still is now that Owl House, Amphibia, and Infinity Train are all over.

...okay...
So, what happens if I burn or break former-demons-now-hell-objects? Do they die again and turn into a different object, or do they feel pain as they're split into a million pieces when they break? I don't think it's necessarily a "bad idea," but... that's certainly one hell of an out there concept.

I think it actually makes a pretty good creation myth for hell tbh.

In the beginning there was a vast empty space into which the fallen angel was cast. Then came the first soul, and it was ground in anger into the first piece of dirt by the "keeper" of the underworld. Countless others were cast into the pit and were crushed into dirt or other prime materia by the long forgotten adversary of the righteous. Eventually they formed the land, then the rings.

The damned arriving grew more numerous everyday, and forged weapons with which to slaughter each other in anger. Their armies and legions so large the prince of darkness himself could not comprehend their size and scope much less intervene to stop.

Hell was thusly not built on fire and brimstone, but the souls of the damned. It is more sinful than those it confines, as it waits endlessly to consume them and grow. It crafts terrifying demons and ravenous hell hounds to accelerate the slaughter ever faster in a vein attempt to satisfy its unending hunger.

Thus came to pass the greatest folly of the most unclean one, for in his rage he crafted the most onerous jailer to his prison. His responsibilities to his domain oppressing him ever more as the hellscape unstoppably grows.

None. That ship has long sailed.

Hazbin appeals to the usual Tumblr, shipping culture that has plagued western animation. It will probably just gain Owl House fans.

MLP was a 4chan thing, and 4chan is not liking this show and is too conservative for it. Meanwhile, the autists who were not part of 4chan already have Bluey as a substitute.
