Iirc, the main reason for that is that they also wanted voice actors who could actually sing, since this show being a musical is a major selling point.

From what I heard, quite a few of the pilot VA aren't trained to be singers, which is why the song ADDICT had autotune up the wazoo.

Oh, Angel Dust's original VA couldn't sing, he was autotunned as fuck in his one song and wasn't confident at all. But that was kind of part of the charm. It made it feel organic and real

The creator could handle this in so many different ways that would benefit her, but she does this shit. Many of the fans seem especially ridiculous as well. My first thought was that this show sure has a shit tonne of merch for something with out one season released, yet. That right there gives plenty of info. Reminds me a little of RoosterTeeth.

Recently learning that not a single episode has come out, and the pilot was only just leaked has made me do a double take so quickly I'm in a neck brace as we speak.

The pilot's been out for years, as well as a few quasi-official videos including one by The Living Tombstone, and we're well into the second season of its sister show Helluva Boss (which has dived off a cliff making what HH is doing not terribly surprising).

We got 1, the beatbox guy, 2 Vizie melt down over people pointing out her sexual assault fetish and now 3, the work conditions in the animation studio being fucking dire and barely paying.

I don't know why anyone is surprised about this. AD was obviously a victim of Valentino in the Addict video which even featured his VA.
