Some YT channel called Council of Geeks uploaded a 1h11 video on cartoon consent and sex and it features Arielle/Raphielle

I didn't watch/listen to it because I couldn't care less but just in case. It's probably full of cope anyway

I don't think this video will change anyone's mind. I just find it funny how people would complain about problematic media, but then when it's talked about on the stuff they like or work on, they pull back and say "oh no, it's okay when we do it because we're progressive".

What I did find interesting was Raphielle and their whole character; proving what I initially thought about them. They have an over-bearing, religious mother and dressing up as Angel Dust was an outlet for them. It gave them a boost of confidence to not worry about how others think of them and appear more sexy. They also got into "sex work", and while they say that it's not because Angel Dust is a sex worker themselves, but it did give them a push towards it. And I believe they started transitioning once they started working as a storyboard artist, though I'm not 100% sure. Also, the outfit that Angel Dust wore during the Poison song; its an outfit that Raphielle wore before...so...is Raphielle trying to be like Angel Dust? It's up to everyone's interpretations, but you can't deny that there isn't some intertwining going on between both the chararcter of Angel Dust and Raphielle.

Also, can we stop accepting that sex work is something that people should inspire to? It's not a career you should be proud of and just be open about. And that goes to fetishes too. Keep that shit to yourself and your partner/s. Not everyone needs to know what gets your rocks off.

The two aren’t even comparable fathers.
FACTS (not opinions)

Disagree, hearing about people's retarded fetishes and delusional careers is fucking hilarious.

Yeah it's the same guy, Bartosz Walaszek.
You have got me very very interested. He seems like a free spirit in independent animation, or media in general. I mean just a cursory glance at his career and he has done a lot of positive influence for his local culture, unlike Vivz. This guy is inspiring. Did he even have a budget for these? Looks like a lot of this stuff was done in MS Paint lol

I know this is somewhat off-topic, but Council of Geeks is a troon. They've been mentioned a few times here. I'm kind of shocked he doesn't seem to have a thread yet. He really hates J.K Rowling and made a video about the non-existent troon genocide.

In addition to being a troon, they're also "genderfluid" and enjoy burlesque and crossdressing.

I've seen this picture circulate around discussion of troon insanity. He looks fucking gross...

I get ugly men trooning out, but why is it that normal guys do it? Dude went from a normal reasonably attractive health looking guy that could easily find a wife and start a family to a deranged looking skinwalker.

If there's one thing that I feel not enough people bring up about is the contrived worldbuilding in regards to how hell functions as a society and why the extermination's needed other than to give the exterminators a recess in killing random sinners.

Nothing make sense. Nothing builds and fits within one another. It's less glued up and more taped with dollar store tape that wears itself out in a week. Vivzie's view of hell or not, there are so many factors in it that makes everything about it crumple in millions of ways. One factor is in regards of the extermination. What do you mean overpopulation issue? What do you mean to prevent the demons from rising up? Y'all can't kill them easily? Don't y'all have as many exterminators as far as the eyes can see? What does killing random sinners do for your goal? Why would they think about uprising against Heaven? Why are they just now finding out that angels can be killed with certain weapons? Why is every decision made in this show so last minute?

Why are they just now rising up against Heaven? Has not Heaven lasted thousands of years, and not once did the sinners, overlords, ANYONE, consider about doing an uprising? How do we even know Hell's overpopulated? In the show, the streets are as empty as far as the eyes can see from all the episodes. I barely see a crowd unless convenient. I barely see any packed places. There are no indicators that make the Pride Ring feel overpopulated. There's nothing that feels dense, heavy, close together. SHOW US THE SO-CALLED OVERPOPULATION Y'ALL KEEP PROCLAIMING ABOUT.

Tell us about the issues of sinners finding a place to live. Show us scenes of sinners being forced to leave the Pride Ring because they literally can't live in such a densely populated area where living there is a literal jungle and every day is some merit of survival of the fittest. The only thing they can show is well, destruction and killings, which I feel is the bare minimum to let the audience know its hell.

Please, show, give us something that doesn't need a whole hour essay from a random youtuber to decipher. And even then, it's only through theories and speculation.

Did he even have a budget for these?
Honestly, he really might've had no real budget in the beginning, but he chose to stay in this kitsch style even with the higher budget. There's a running gag within fans of his art that when he gives his all, he gives 30%, and it's always average, and it can only get worse from there, never better.

For example some of his older work from ZF Skurcz:
He did work with established artists like Kazik Staszewski so he wasn't completely grass roots, but he definitely was independent in his craft, aside from the time where he signed a deal for Kaptitan Bomba and ended up losing rights to it.

The two animations that I've linked were some of his earliest works, and one of the earliest works is this animation he did on a Commodore Amiga:
I guess that at some point he did move onto IBM PC compatibles and used MS Paint, but then he moved onto Adobe Flash and that's what he made most of his work on, and what he uses to this day.

Obviously he's well off, and he doesn't do those animations all by himself, but that's the style he chose, and uses to this day.

Yeah outside of this thread, and maybe some 4ch /co/ or /tv/ threads, seems like the mainstream opinion of this show is middling, disregarding its rabid genderspecial fanbase.

That's such a good point. I bet quite a few viewers subconsciously felt the lack of atmosphere. But even worse than this, I am pretty sure Vivz pulled some bullshit rule about how sinners couldn't leave the Pride Ring, hence the extermination. Which begs the question, why can't they leave? I probably missed an explanation from the crew, maybe the other Rings are filled already, but if that's the case there's even more missed potential to limit the scope of the project to only Pride. It also begs the question why Heaven wouldn't exterminate other Rings before going to Pride. It's a fucking shitshow of writing indeed.

Another point of confusion I have is Lucifer's role. Does he rule only the Pride Ring or does he rule the entirety of Hell? I've heard conflicting stuff from staff and fans so if someone can clear this up I would appreciate it.

P.S: You know, if they depicted Hell not with Seven Rings but all in one place and then filled it up with miserable souls, that would show the overpopulation very effectively. Do it in a mixed style between Blade Runner and Beksinski and there you fucking have it. Just imagining it I get a scarier image of Hell than Gay Clown World.

I think if both Hazbin and Helluva took place in different Hells instead of the same one it would clear up some of convoluted storytelling. It runs into that shared universe issue of why x event is not briefly mentioned by y character or the issue of why are the exterminations focused on only sinners. As you stated, shouldn't Heaven also go after the native-borns too? With only sinners being seen in Hazbin and Charlie caring more about them, you get the impression she is the only native-born demon since her parents were casted out (and you don't include her demonic pets).
Another point of confusion I have is Lucifer's role. Does he rule only the Pride Ring or does he rule the entirety of Hell?
This is another that could be cleared up if both shows were not in the same universe. I think Lucifer rules the entirety of Hell, but the other Sins have rule over their Rings. Not that any of this matters in both shows. The Overlords seem to have more power in the Pride Ring than Lucifer as Alastor cursed him out with no repercussion. And Crimson, an imp mafia boss, almost gained control of Asmodeus' businesses.

It is so ridiculous that low-leveled imps or overlords can actually put up a fight with LITERAL SINS. If you want an underdog story, place some fucking emphasis on the build up to beating the Davids. For fuck's sake man, this is a fundamental story idea, done to death yet ever so appealing and you couldn't even get that bag, Vivz...

However from what you said, Lucifer being ruler of Hell yet prioritizing Pride makes sense on paper. Pride was Lucifer's downfall. He was too prideful to listen to God, so he rebelled, and he failed. It left him bitter to the very end. (remember that painting...) Of course, you would have to do a lot of legwork to commit to this idea and make him actually interesting, instead of making him a puppet for cringey showtunes. Even the flamboyant clothing, language and singing could make sense if you center every characteristic of Lucifer around Pride.

I remember Ayy Lmao (Hazbin dickrider) talking about how Greed is the most evil Sin, and has characteristics of all other Sins. Now that I think about it, he's wrong. It's Pride.

Why would a rich man humble himself to the poor? They are beneath him! Their existence is a blight on his, and therefore should be taxed in silver and gold.
Why would a prostitute chaste herself and pursue a homely existence nurturing future generations? Those are outdated stereotypes of gender, holding her back from true expression! She should embrace her figure and freedom.
Why should a decorated warrior retire and meditate to find peace? Your enemies will at any opportunity take away what's yours without hesitation. There is no reconciling with savages.

So on and so forth. The serpent whispers...

In a meta sense, this applies to The Creator herself. So much of her projects turned out this way either because she let her pride take over common sense, or went along with any dogshit suggestion so as not to hurt her cronies' or fans' prides. Could she imagine what her past self would think? Could she imagine that distant voice of derision and disgust, and then pretend it doesn't exist? Is that why she lashes out, both personally on social media, and professionally through her projects? I can only armchair psychoanalyze this long before getting an Autism rating. I do think it is worth it though.

I’m pretty sure this is standard Christian doctrine when it comes to sin, since all other sins ultimately result from placing yourself before God.

I can’t reply to liam dees, but…

Yeah, that would go a long way towards showing why the exterminations happen. Hell, if you really want to keep the concept of the Rings, you could probably just cut them into sections or districts for certain sins and have each of them near bursting.

Though personally? I’m thinking it might’ve been better for the series to be set in purgatory or limbo, with those killed in the exterminations being sent to Hell, which is actual eternal torment instead of being red LA.

Vivzie was still kind of an idiot from the very beginning, but it is a possibility, past Vivzie being disgusted if she could see herself in the future.

Things to do when you're in Hell:

  • Be gay.
  • Be gay.
  • Be gay.

Did not a single homosexual end up in Heaven?
